Turn it around then. Experienced managers in Grayson, Hopkin, Bowyer and McCall have failed miserably here in recent years.

Would you not want T&S to be given the job then?. If not, who would you realistically like to see come in this summer?

The only one I could think of would be Ryan Lowe, if he is wanting to head back North.

what you need is to command respect of players. These two have.

cowley bros were PE teachers. Mourinho was a translator. Both had to similarly earn respect of seniors to achieve success.

 

Now @Rogered Tart has his brass are we in any rush to make them permanent the statements coming out of the club are both parties are happy with the present situation it's working let's give them the rest of this season and then make the call.
Even if the club did have someone in mind and possibly lined up surely what these lads have done so far and what can be achieved till the end of this season has a baring on that decision.
I accept a play off place is a dream at the moment but could anyone imagine T&S getting us there an then not landing the job permanently.

 

I've said it before I back Sparks in what he's doing here. We are in no rush to hire a manager and why should we be? We have to look at the bigger picture. T & S are important in their old roles and if we appoint them as 1st team manager and it doesn't work out then that's them done at the club. I repeat not many rookie managers take clubs up in this generation.

Grayson, Hopkin, Bowyer and even McCall were wrong appointments by two extremely poor CEO's. I can't highlight enough how bad Edin and Rhodes were. Totally shocking! So, as much as we can talk about them managers, every single one of them were just bad appointments. The only person I thought ok was McCall but only if it was explained to him that he is here to cover the cracks for a bit while we build off the pitch but clearly that wasn't the case and it goes down as a shocking appointment by Rhodes.

Ryan is 29 don't you know and he will understand that rookie managers have a purple patch then it all goes wrong. We played two poor matches before yesterday and yes we played well but I am looking for more than just results.

Ryan Lowe would be a great appointment for us and I would rather we went down that route for the long term future of the club but look if T & S continue like this until the end of the season then fine but what we don't want is 4 months into next season they are sacked because the purple patch is over!! I have my doubts still - We need to wait!

It’s good for a change that the club hold the cards, happy to go along with whatever Sparks decides. Compared to only 2 months ago we are a far more attractive proposition thanks to these two lads but also Sparks and the recruitment team. I’d expect Bradford City to be one of if not the most attractive job in this division next season if it’s available, makes a pleasant change.

 

But if we'd recruited Ryan Lowe and we'd had this run youd be jerkimg yourself off. These two are the real deal.

Thing is a high percentage of Bradford City fans are reckless. Just get excited like a fat kid in a sweet shop and some are scared of change. Some don't even know whats happening in front of their nose.

Bradford City are in control of the situation here and we don't need to rush it.

 

How did we play 2 poor matches granted we lost at Exeter with a much weakened team the two matches before that was a 3-1 away win at Southend and a 2-1 win over barow that’s 3 wins out of 4 9 matches out of 10 unbeaten including a draw at the league leaders Cambridge and a win at Tranmere. These two have done more than is needed to give them the job until at least the end of season.

 

Ive watched enough of city to not get easily excited. Even now I'm waiting for T & S to get basics wrong or not learn from an error. But they changed up what we did wrong at Exeter, we got the ball on the floor and passed it around, something we strangely went away from. They're doing all the little stuff right, I actually thought they were right to start Cook after he started against Scunthorpe but its clear he offers way less in the passing style we play than Rowe. Cook looks an ideal fit for Parky football.
These guys have been given the rare chance of a crack at football management and are taking it with both hands.

 

Any manager runs the same risk of being sacked if underachieving, rookie, experienced or club legend.

 

Cook will be there when we can’t play the passing game for whatever reason

 

Maybe a clever aspect of this is the players want
T&S and will continue to bust a gut until they are
appointed? If so, why change it?

Downside would be if an offer came in for them
and it was too good to turn down. Losing them
would be a missed opportunity.

If T&S are happy enough as is then let it remain
as it is and see where we are at end of season. If
we got promoted via play offs then the job would
surely be theirs .
