My thoughts exactly. They must ask a sheet of loads of questions to the pros when they sign and take the best of the bunch, but other than the answer being a juicy one, there's no reason to post it.

Thought they'd have announce Timi Odusina by now, the lad seems to like a fair few instagram or twitter comments from city fans in the last week or so, seems a pointless thing for a pro to do unless theres something in it.

 

A couple of ITKs on Twitter now claiming announcement on a player today

 

I saw something about a right back from Halifax

 

He announced he was leaving yeaterday. Heard Callum Johnson mentioned on here though.

 

I dont think the announcement is 100% ready fot whatever reason and that was a tease that covers them if it does happen, or doesnt. Didnt give too much away.

If reports of a medical are true then looks like thats the hold up. 99% of medicals are passed though.....but always that odd one that fails.3

 

Someone's tweeted that the sponsors were informed of a signing yesterday. If that's true, it must be a significant one. I can't see the club going all out on a Sunday to let the sponsors know we are signing a lad from Halifax.

Dont disagree. Looks like 1 or 2 of the better ITK accounts though.

You’d think the bigger sponsors would want to sponsor a player they’ll feel like will get MoM regularly, so yes you’d think a bigger ‘marquee’ signing. With Hughes already taken say we got Smallwood he’d be the next most in demand at the club to sponsor.

 

It makes sense.

Every new signing has had the wording "and Fred will be sponsored by Fordy's car wash" or something in the press release.

Seen a rumour linking Hartlepool with Reghan Tumilty, a defender from Raith Rovers. Hopefully a good sign for us with regards to Odusina.

 

T&A now running Harry Chapmans Ticktock video saying fans are even more convinced that Smallwoods joining.

 

Doesn’t make much difference because he has turned down a new contract already

 

I hope you're right but Hartley has said he'll be speaking to all the players offered new contracts when preseason starts which for Hartlepool, is today.

 

Yeh I saw that but not much he can do if they have signed elsewhere. Nothing to stop them agreeing moves....

Do the ones out of contract even have a duty to turn up for pre season and even if they do and plan to move on - will they?

EDIT: Apparently only 12 players turned up.

 

Wow, I'm guessing Timi wasn't one of them then!
