    When I've walked past, admittedly at a distance and not paying massively close attention, the training pitch looks better than the one at VP. The Gym looks fine too. Pool. I don't think the quality of facilities is an issue, they're certainly up to scratch for League 1/2 football. It sounds like its the planning and organisation that's a problem.

    The tunnel at Upton Park had a shelf. Players coming off for half time helped themselves to the opened packs of Rothmans on their way to the changing rooms

    Really interesting comments from Morais around the fitness levels of the players- he even called some of them overweight (in professional sport unbelievable).


    Then GA did his post match interview and he explained how disruptive January has been with weather and training.

    I don’t think the players are getting enough time trainning due to facilities unavailable (weather) and it’s clearly impacting.

    I'm sorry but that just sounded like GA was getting the excuses in early before Wednesday night. We won't be the only club that have had disruptions to training due to the weather, of course it doesn't help, but it isn't anywhere near the top of the list of reasons why we are where we are in the league.

    I agree although in my view we do need a winter alternative in place. We cannot just stop training.

    That’s exactly my thoughts, I don’t no the stats but I’d argue our worst form is in the winter months.

    I have such a distain for this club currently and I don’t like to give them excuses but this surely impacts.

    Strategically as CEO he should be thinking of opportunities to mitigate this. These are terribly weak minded players don’t give them any excuses. Our terrible performance will have some part stem from
    Poor preparation.

    I’d also be finning the hell out of the ones who are clearly overweight as Moriais called out. No way in hell should that be happening in professional sport.

    That’s the player’s accountability and own standards.
