I'm not sure your grasp the purpose of forums like these. They're intended as free exchange or platform for a range of opinions. If you don't like mine, ignore them. It's fine.

If you're that easily triggered, maybe it's not for you. But you seem to have a pattern of baiting those who have differing views to 'take action' with a 'what are you going to do about it', condescending challenge. I'm not interested in it, because frankly I couldn't give two shiny sh*tes what you think I should be doing with my opinion.

Didnt they used to use Goals (at Hanson school) in the past? Maybe they couldn’t cancel bookings there at such short notice, mind.

 

I agree I think that comment by Alexander was because they may have over run and as you point out it was scheduled for the schools use and they were asked to leave, nothing more sinister.

 

One thing is for sure despite all the criticism,the training facilities the club have now are far superior to the Paul Jewell era when they had to climb into their cars after training full of mud and shower and change back at Valley parade. We got into the Premier league with those facilities.

 

The club has definitely used the facility before. Plenty of pitches there too.

 

Clubs used to win championships by getting their players to run up and down the steps of the main stand as training.

I'm not sure using the past to validate something 25 years on is necessarily a recipe for success.

 

I did a job for a bloke who used to play for city back in the early eighties, not sure he made the first team ( can't remember his name but he was a right arsehole). Telling me how he got reprimanded one day for upending Don Hutchins on the car park where they trained. Also told me that Stafford had him putting eyes on teddy bears when he was injured lol..

 

Johan Cruyff used to smoke his self daft during his playing days and it never did him any harm.

 

Used to see the players regularly running up Harrogate Road in their training kits heading back to vp after training. Suppose it improved their fitness

 

That in itself proves it has nothing to do with the training facilities-we just don't have enough good players in the squad. Until that drastically changes we are not getting out of this league.

Thanks but 3am Wednesday morning when I’m up at 6 for a flight to Melbourne is not really on and from Wednesday the time difference gets worse as Melbourne Bantam will tell you.
