Sometimes we get kicked off by school as they’re using it for class

We do have exclusive use of the grass training pitch but it was obviously unfit yesterday. We needed the 4G pitch yesterday but it was unavailable so we went to Horsfall. Really don’t know what the fuss is about, under normal weather the training facilities are excellent.

 

I think the OP post is about Alexander's comment with regards getting kicked off the 4G pitch for the schools to use.
When I've been down there the only ones I've seen using the 4G pitch are our development lads and of course the first team squad if they can't get onto the grass.

 

Knocking the club at every oppertunity they get, I bet if Alexander reads stuff like this he wonders what sort of club he's come to, after what I'd think was a throw away comment.

 

Is it just the 4G pitch GA was referring to?

Me too. We're supposed to be a professionally run football club.

 

The pitch Gym pool are all available throughout the week and not used at the weekend except in exceptional circumstances and combined with poor weather which prevented useing the grass pitches. We have good facilities at a good price

 

Me too. There have been a few lately. Reference to not knowing what the finances involved in th Young bid, or what's available for spending on the squad. I fear he's realised what he's taken on.

C’mn Tarty. That school is also a business and has to make money. Booking the pitch out for a Saturday afternoon in the full knowledge it is unlikely to be required by their partners. Obviously 4g pitches are in high demand at this time of the year. GA is anxious to get back to grass but he is going to have to wait. There will be no grass at VP until May. Now unless Rupp wants to fork out for a relaying.

I repeat we have excellent facilities available for 99% of the time we have better training quarters than most

 

I have no problem with the facilities. I have a huge problem if our training sessions have to be unexpectedly halted to accommodate a PE class.

And you wonder why we continue to linger in the arse end of the football league? Actually, you don't do you. You just think it's bad luck.

 

I should add it was tongue in cheek Mrs O, although I like the idea of Andy Cook telling folk to bugger off cos he wants to train penalties.

 

Can you quantify this statement? I take it you've done an audit of all league 1 and 2 football clubs training facilities.

I'm sure the facilities are decent, but they're obviously not fantastic as numerous players have commented on them being a bit bush league.

I'm sure there are worse facilities in L1/2, but we also don't need to aggrandize them too much haha

It's a posh school, not a professional football club's bespoke training ground.

 

I think you are being optimistic if you think there will be grass at VP in May.They will dig it all up again in May,and unless they lay turf,there will be no grass til late June/early July.

 

We could do what Barrow do,and train 100 miles away from our home ground.
