Ffs are we gonna have this every time we lose a game?

We will lose games at this level. We are not Man City or Liverpool.

Look at the results tonight. Swindon got stuffed at home. Mansfield the same.

It’s a long season. We keep winning 2 and losing 1 we will be well up there.

Nice run of fixtures coming up in October.

GB must have been the only person to have been shocked by that performance.

1950 City fans went yesterday-which considering the last few away performances -is astounding support.

The time has come for the club reward those fans with a new manager and assistant ASAP.

If the roof is leaking you get it sorted by any means possible, you borrow the money if you to, but what you do not do is let it continue until the roof falls in! Yes we as many really good footballers as we can, but we just have to maintain the place, we have ignored the leaky roof for long enough, and now we are paying for our lack of diligence on that front.

You got to laugh at the over reaction on here tonight.

    We hit the post-Devitt
Donaldsons shot hits Vaughan on the line.
Vaughans overhead kick misses by inches.
Dodgy offside decision to disallow the goal

We could easily have won that game 3-0 and been top.

And all that DESPITE the referee.

FGR play like that all the time and that's why they have very few fans.

First game I've been able to watch live this season (watched Stevenage online) and that was truly turgid. Two poor teams and an even worse ref. About right for lg2.

The fact is our squad is good. Significantly better than 95% teams in our league. Why don't we start playing like it. I know we can, I've seen us play some nice stuff. We have the players.

If you play 3 in midfield you have to dominate possession and that has to be a key part of the game plan. Have we had more than 50% possession in any game this season? What's the point in a midfield 3 if we're not gonna play and get players on the ball. It's not lack of quality, it's lack of style.

Donaldson and Vaughan is a perfect front 2 in this division, they have to play alongside each other. Donaldson did a commendable job on the wing I thought, but Vaughan was so isolated and had no service. Its a complete waste.

The FGR defenders and keeper were not comfortable on the ball, yet we allowed them to play out from the back and saunter up to the half way line and play a simple ball. When we did actually press, they made mistakes and booted it out for throw ins in their own half. You don't need to do a high press like Liverpool, but make them work for it a little bit.

Yes we nullified them for the majority of the match, but you are always liable to concede a goal like we did today. At some point you have to stamp your authority and game, actually try and score a goal and get your players on the ball. We did that for about 5 mins.

I can't really fault any of the players today, even Akpan was better than I've seen in recent weeks. One of the most tactically inept jobs I've seen from us. 3 points lost today. I sincerely hope Bowyer has learned something from today, not sure I can stomach a season of that. Even if we do churn out 1-0 wins every week courtesy of an own goal.

    Rant over

Sacking is a bit excessive but I do think we need to start approaching the games in a much more positive, authoritative manner.

I know we don’t want to take games for granted and think we’re going to walk over teams but we have a good squad of players who have the quality to compete with anyone in this league. Why not go out there and start on the front foot, press and attack. Our approach to every game this season has been negative and we’ve rarely put opposition teams under pressure in their own half. Hopefully GB sorts this out because we have one of the better squads in this division and so far we’re playing like we’re one of the worst.

He's worked out a back four that seems to work so far and this has helped the keeper. He's brought in two vastly experienced strikers that look a threat. But the midfield transfers and the ones he's given contracts to don't have any strategy in how they are going to protect the back four and supply chances to the front two. Now we have Anderson and Devine who aren't good enough, Akpan who should be good enough but looks as bad as the aforementioned two, Reeves who is always 'two weeks' away, Gibson and McCartan who have some potential but no one knows where they really fit in, Palmer from a division above but again not sure what his best position is, Ismail who hasn't played yet, and the three new lads who again no one really knows what their best attributes are. And now we've got full backs in midfield. We shouldn't be still talking about bringing more in yet because of the above we are. No wonder fans seem a bit disillusioned at the minute.

It's time for Gary to pack his bags and do one.

I've championed Gary Bowyer through out this present season and although most of the time it's been crap (yes were still only 2 points off an auto) after going 2-0 up totally against the run of play he for some reason thought we could hang onto the points, although to anyone watching the game there was only one team playing football.
Just listened to Radio Leeds who said Scunthorpe's two goals we crackers, no they weren't if a player with the skill of Gilliead is allowed to cut in from the wing and run at goal without a challenge he will score goals like that, did we learn did we f**k once again a Scunthorpe player is allowed to pick the ball up around the half way line (possibly in his own half I'l have to watch the video clip) and run unchallenged to the edge of our area without a challenge and we wonder why McAtee can pick his spot and slot it into the bottom right hand corner.
Today was a big day where the players could have got a bit of credibility back after Crawley, now we have to start again on Tuesday night at Colchester who are just outside the play off places and then away to Mansfield who we hardly looked convincing against the other week taking two penalties to secure the points.
I wont bet against my team but I can see us getting little or nothing from the two games and then Mr Bowyer will know what pressure is all about.

I just don’t get this argument, of course we don’t and I doubt anyone wants this hire and fire culture. However you cannot simply persist with something which is quite clearly not working.. That is pure blind faith rather than logical

60 years I have watched City, and for the first time in all those years I don't want to go next Tuesday to watch the match . The blame lies with the coaching staff, manager, but the players have to take some blame for their total lack of back bone as well. It's not doing their reputations any good just giving in, but after saying all that Bowyer must go, and go now!

Bearing in mind Rupp has been stung before by ignoring the warning signs that something wasn't quite right, I'd hope he has learnt his lesson and will act sooner rather than later this time.

Make no mistake mate i love this club, i hope my lad does too. We love the time together. But on Saturday we walking out of the ground through a run down town centre away from the ground and my lad said, 'what was the point of us coming today?' And he's 15. He is the next generation. He's been to most games the last 8 years or so. He's bored, he made some sarcastic remarks about the day on social media, his somewhat distain of lower league football in a dying town. he wasn't wrong. It may stir the emotions of older fans, dilapidated stadia and real pints in a real pub. It means nothing to the younger generation. They want to see freeflowing passing football, action, social media celebrities, football may feel like its dying to the older end but to the younger end its just starting. Just not how us oldies remember it.

It is why at such a low point at the club and at such a crucial time Julian Rhodes should be the one who is communicating with the fans on behalf of the owner, not someone who is unable to comment as he does not have authorisation to do so - bloody shambles. The concerns and issues have been apparent for weeks now and there appears to be a total lack of backbone and direction at the top - and if there is a plan no one seems to know what it is!

He just has to go. He has nearly a full year here. He has ample opportunity to start to turn things around. As ppl have said, no sign of any coaching players to play better, in fact the opposite is the case. We were promised that promotion would be top priority, no sign of that either. We have lost two really good players, because they didn’t want to be here.

We have cut the wage bill half way through the season this is despite being in the playoffs, now we are dropping like a stone. I could only just put up with the crap football if it actually got results, despite my own personal thoughts that you just can’t play this type of football and win games on a regular basis.

Not a peep out of the club, who I now hold responsible for the mess we are in. If Bowyer continues, I really do not know what the club want, it certainly isn’t promotion that is for sure. I have been a season ticket holder for years, but there is absolutely no way I am buying the full version this next season if I have to watch more of this. If they don’t want to invest a our club then they cannot expect the fans to do likewise.

If Bowyer's allowed to continue and performances and results remain pretty much as they've been for the last couple of months. Then those in charge better be prepared for sub 10,000 ST sales for next season. As I think those that attend because they see it as entertainment rather than a duty will fade away and stay away, permanently.

Better to get rid now, regardless of the cost, and pray that someone can come in and inject some hope and positivity before May. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If this could be attributed to a loss in form and could be remedied, then I'd be asking for patience. But I don't think it is, it's terminal, the players have completely lost faith in both his methods and his ability to manage.

Remarks in the T&A again this morning from Bowyer about how he can't understand what went wrong on Saturday or why our away form is so poor in general. No idea at all about how to change it because he has tried everything. Anyone that still thinks we should persevere with him needs to give their head a shake.

No. We need no knee jerk reaction. Lawn and Rhodes stuck to their guns with Parky, whilst it took him time to rebuild and transform, and instil the hard working ethos that so bonded the players with fans, and eventual success.

We must do the same with Bowyer, in my opinion
