I keep hearing about 20.000 season tickets that was alway a pipe dream. We were told by some in the summer that season tickets sales would tumble and we sold nearly as many as last year.
If we fail to go up ticket sales will fall if we achieve promotion they will rise we approximately have about 7000 hardcore supporters who would always come at any price the rest blow with the wind and see it as a cheap place to take the kids.

Even if the Board steadfastly believe that Bowyer is the right man to take us forward and plan to 'back him', they'd have to consider how the next few weeks will almost certainly play out and look at the impact to ST sales. Forget 20k, they wont get 10k. So Rupp would have to willing to pump more money in during the summer.

The manner of our business in January shows that theres neither the real trust in Bowyer or financial ambition to strive for more than we are.

The only reasons Bowyer won't be bulleted are cost, and a lack of any idea about where we go from here.

Unless there are plans afoot to sell the club, I firmly expect at least 2-3 seasons of circling the L2 toilet bowl, probably under a couple of different managers.

Yet as I pointed out Ryan at the recent supporters meeting said there were questions he felt it was not appropriate for him to answer, it really is that easy and fans would not blame Ryan, they may say well whats the point of Ryan being the mouth piece of the club if he can't answer questions.
Then the club should maybe make an open statement covering all things Bradford City if they want to try and achieve Julian's 20,000 season ticket sales next season.

That floating fan base is more important to our growth as a club than the hardcore element.

The reason sales didn't drop in the summer was a mixture of 'good will' and 'hope' that Rupp would be true to his word and fund a quick return to redress the damage caused by Rahic.

The way things are going, and our January business especially will kill those 2 factors off. I'd expect sales of less than 10k this summer.

No the club should lead rather than follow what the fans want is not always what is best for the club. In any case you are right the person employed to communicate is not the one who sets the policy

Can't be any other reason. Like mentioned in another thread Paul Hurst paid the price for his job for a similar run of form to us. However, that side murdered us. Made us look silly at times with their movement etc.... There's no other reason than the above. Can't have the football being served up the way it is and the stands empty and the ones there chanting for him to get out. There is no way back for him. He's wasting his own time and ours. The club needs to be brave and take a gamble.

Not sure why people are having a pop at Stan, just telling it as it is. BTW, I am not sure I've ever met a PR person I like.

The only things that will appease fans is giving Bowyer his marching orders. Empty words won't mean a thing, especially when we see more of the same shîte next week.

Only other way I see it happening is if a manager were prepared to essentially work for free until the summer, on a 'trial' basis. Not sure whether there's be much appetite to do that, but you never know.

Holloway has been at grimsby for what? A month or so? And he has transformed their playing style from a ugly, negative, hoofball team to this. Their fans are loving it and believing again.

The board should never underestimate the positive impact a manager change can have.

I said a month ago we should have gone for him. Its coaching. We called it on here after the first couple of games this season. No evidence of coaching whatsoever

    Boycotting until he's gone.

Don't care if it goes unnoticed, at least I don't have to watch his football.

You say that but omit to mention how good Drury is at putting the cones out. Skills like that should not be underestimated.

I agree with your post generally as bad as its been I cant see the club sacking Bowyer after allowing him to bring players in.
I'm not sure I agree with your last comment, why would the club allow Bowyer to build a team then sack him in May/June, I could see him still being here with the club claiming sacking managers does not help the stability to the club, we shall see.
I don't think any Bradford City fan expected the present situation to be as toxic as it is at the moment, Olly has started pretty well at Grimsby and given the club a lift, it's going to take a big effort from Bowyer and the players to get fans back on side, at one time I'd have said a single win would take us back into the mix and that would take a little pressure off Bowyer and players but with this squad you can't say which team will turn up for the Grimsby game, they will certainly bring a healthy away following with them and get behind their team.

It is why at such a low point at the club and at such a crucial time Julian Rhodes should be the one who is communicating with the fans on behalf of the owner, not someone who is unable to comment as he does not have authorisation to do so - bloody shambles. The concerns and issues have been apparent for weeks now and there appears to be a total lack of backbone and direction at the top - and if there is a plan no one seems to know what it is!

If you read the local press Hurst left because Scunny have no chance of the play-offs

Anyone outside the club, will see that we very much do and so, some will argue that Bowyer has earned the right to have a few more matches with this team

Note, I don't strongly agree with this - but I'm also not certain what sacking achieves this minute. Any manager coming in can simply absolve themselves from any promotion responsibility and therefore this seasons expectations are actually lowered (unless of course there is an out of contract CDM who will come to the club if Bowyer goes!!)

Problem is of course we could win the next two home games and even if we actually played decently (i.e. Swindon/Salford standard) we could go to Cambridge and look silly again and we're back to square one

For me, he has to win the next four and then get something out of the Plymouth game to restore any faith amongst the masses. That isn't impossible - the away matches at Swindon and Colchester showed that they can occasionally show some fight, but will need a mindset change from him and the players that we can see won't come

I probably like Rupp - have seen what turmoil having five different managers in 14 months did - but then again like a lot of fans I now aren't as positive that Bowyer can turn it around

Amazingly it's a s small thing (but had dire consequences yesterday) I simply can't get my head why anyone with any knowledge of footie can play a back five with Henley as a wing back!!!
