Didn’t we have this before with PP? His footballs boring he will never get us promoted and we draw too many games? The players he signs are rubbish. Why can’t he see McMahon et al are crap?

And then McCall? He’s rubbish. Draws too many games. Tippy tappy football. Plays law out of position, get rid of him he’s crap.

And ah look where we are today. Fantastic.

No manager at this level is perfect. Sack this one after one defeat is pathetic and I can’t blame Bowyer for coming off of twitter.

Not even out of August yet and this is what we get. Just give the next one a month to month contract. Be easier

This season his record reads won 2 drawn 2 lost 1. That’s all that matters. Continue that form we will go up. I don’t care how bad we played in some games, that is our record in the history books. You can play like Barcelona and still not win a game, see Man City vs spurs other week.

Two new good players in last week who will add to the squad and once fit and in the side will improve.

Thats not quite true though is it? We havent played poorly at all, we have been defensive and defended well. Its boring to see long ball after long ball while the opposition midfield run rings round akpan. But the defense has been solid and this was clearly the game plan. We play a long ball counter attacking game which I think is rather defeatist but at the same time its a tactic that has seen us concede twice in 5 league games. Its not the brand of football we like, and our midfield hasnt helped but in general the clear tactics he has set out for us have been done well.

 

I want GB to succeed obviously, but baffled by his tactics,formations and signings. He also has not got a glowing report at all from my Rovers supporting family, who's criticism of him is so far showing to be true unfortunately, wierd team selections and a draw specialist who worries too much about the opposition.

 

We've been good defensively but our attacking play has been woeful. You can't tell me a toothless midfield is part of the gameplan?

 

Regardless we have played well and no one is talking about relegation. Stop the rot and all that.

 

We've been great if you completely disregard one half of the game.

And why should we be? We have one of the highest budgets in the league. Avoiding relegation into non league is hardly something to be celebrated.

 

Yet the fans of his most recent club prior to joining us, have nothing but good to say about him

 

Bravo, absolutely agree. It completely baffles me that anyone could sincerely believe sacking Bowyer at this stage would be a good idea. Stick with and trust the manager and his decisions. Wait till closer to Christmas then make a judgement on his performance based on his results.

If you factor in poor performances as well as results then it shouldn't be ruled out.......

No. We need no knee jerk reaction. Lawn and Rhodes stuck to their guns with Parky, whilst it took him time to rebuild and transform, and instil the hard working ethos that so bonded the players with fans, and eventual success.

We must do the same with Bowyer, in my opinion

 

No he gets his contract, we should give him time to build something here. It’s never easy to do a full rebuild with a lot of shite hanging about from last season

Absolutely no chance. Stability is what this club needs. Bowyer has shown all the right moves so far IMO. Yes, the team performances might not have been pretty or convincing and there are questions on his tactics. Fine. Won’t that always be the case for every football manager?

 

The next step down the league is a bloody big one with 10,000 customers/fans standing down instantly......

No. Thats not even a quarter of the season. Its his squad that he's put together, so sacking him and bringing in someone else who might play a totally different way with 2/3 months until a transfer window is completely pointless. Not to mention the pay off. You don't get promoted after 10 games. This kind of short term attitude that some seem to have does nobody any favours, just heaps more pressure on.

 

I agree but why didn't we give Cooper, Jackson, Collins time? Probably few more I missed too
