Well with a couple more apparently incoming we can safely get rid of the ''It's not his team tag'' I look forward to seeing his own free flowing team rip it up.

 

This thread is laughable if we'd have won last sat we wud have been top of the league. How many calling for his head then. I agree some tactics and selections have been strange but give the guy a chance. Swapping and changing managers ain't gonna get us anywhere

 

Completely agree... People are making out we are dire, its league two and we on promotion form..

Even the WOTP is doing it.. So much entitlement. 'we should be at the top of league wining every single game!' Get a grip. We had one of the worst squads in history and have a finite budget.. From our current haul of points it took eleven games last season and we have done it this season in five.

Progress

 

We're still a work in progress. We still have some dead wood to shift.
I think GB knows what he's doing but it will take time. Two of last seasons major disapointments have started the season and gone (Doyle and (hopefully) Scannell). I get the impression GB is trying to put players in the shop window by playing them. Just a hunch.
GB has stated on numerous occasions he needs 3 transfer windows to truly have 'his' team. But he's already strengthened our defense and forward line. O'Connor and Donnell look like different players from last season. In Vaughan we have a leader at last plus someone who can score goals. We have a couple of players coming back from injury that will add options plus we may get a couple more in before Monday. The glass is still half full for me. We're only at the end of August ffs.
We can debate team formations all we like but any successful team needs to be able to switch formation either to counter the opposition or play to its strengths. SM was succesful because he could change things in game just when teams were sussing us out.
I think if we ridgedly stick to 4-4-2 teams will set up to counter this. Especially when we play at home.

Don’t fall for the “I need 3 transfer windows bollocks” that’s a lame blatant excuse for a free pass. He needs to produce with what he has got and now.
I’d love my bosses face if I asked for 3 probation periods it’s just utter bollocks.

I don't take the 2 losses to the teams we should be beating as good results but for me it's an average start.

Today's match is our biggest test of the season so far. Let's see what happens. Hopefully, we win!
