I don't take Tricyclic Anti-Depressants m8, though the way WHU are going I could be tempted

Football fans are a fickle bunch start winning matches and mood soon changes. Besides that fans who only watch home games have absolutely nothing to moan about

I agree that they may let this season play itself out on the basis we can pay him off in the summer (when there is the realisation that ticket sales have fallen flat) and we will be able to ‘go again’ (sorry) In this league next time, and will then have lost some of the high earners (reeves, Doyle, Akpan, the kid from Man U ).

With regards to coaching staff, perhaps a fan’s favourite involved in some capacity to boost season ticket sales.

thinking on the maths and speculating, say 8 home games down say 1500 pay on the gate supporters at £10 (flexi)....£15kx8=£ 90k to end of season, they probably end up worse off paying him off (£150k) and need to claw back 20 grand per game on gates if he goes now.

We could of course offset that deficit if Swindon have some cash in the attic but would we want to.

17 ‘cup finals’, 51 point to play for, IMO we should sack him now.

You seriously don't think we are discussing all this stuff for the sake of it do you? A few of are discussing how the hell we sell this club to the next generation of fans and you think there is nothing wrong? Just have a look what our near neighbours down the road have just done and brought in a player from the bundesliga to strengthen their attack. laying down a marker as to where they want to be next season. I know its an extreme example but its highly likely they will be planning for premiership football while we wipe the floors of the khazi league for another season. Football is changing, kids are becoming less interested watching cloggers masquerading as footballer in league 2. Damn it this clubs needs some ambition.

I'm still lokking for a pair of those those claret & amber tinted glasses so I can see the world of VP in the same glowing way some other fans do. I'll just have to keep looking! :(

wise words about the next generation. There are so many ways to watch football now in the digital era, not to mention other things to do, why would kids bother with football if it’s not fun, they won’t do it out of duty like a lot of us current crop, they will lose interest.

I watch more footy than ever on the telly and it hammers home how utterly shite we really are these days.

Reading Bowyers quotes in the T&A today, he says he felt sorry for the front two. What the hell - I am presuming that Doyle and McCarten didn't ask for the long balls pumped up to them, I'm presuming that we were told to play that way - by the manager and the coach! The guy is deluded, and is coming across as blameless. Man up Bowyer!

Looks like as predicted there will be no dramatic announcement today. No sacking, no vote of confidence, no word about transfers as we enter the last week of activity. A deafening silence. If you want to keep supporters on side and indeed increase the number of season ticket holders, you need to keep them informed. We’re in an age of instant news and vast public participation. The club is missing a trick here.

I'm trying to look down the line when i'm ready to pop my clogs, whats the future for this club? People can stick their head in the sand and pretend everything is alright but football is changing quickly. I can easily see the scenario in the summer where i can stand up around near Tong school from you can just about see to your left Valley Parade and to your right Elland Road and you're a similar distance from each. 10 years down the line you could easily have the scenario of a bustling growing city with a stadium holding 50,000 games against some of the best teams in Europe or i could go watch 'affordable' lower league football in a city dying a death with a stadium creaking at the seams. Again an extreme example but if you are bringing up families in Bradford areas such as Apperley Bridge whats the long term attraction for a football mad kid? People like Andy Holt might not like it but football is gonna see massive changes in the next generation. If you don't move with the times you will die.

Unfortunately, you can't get all of that into a hashtag!

And that's the club's current and preferred method for communicating its messages to its long suffereing fans. :(

Couldn't agree more. How do you get a child between the age of 3-11 to be interested in watching us when we can't muster up any chances which then flattens the atmosphere and I'm sure parents won't want to take their child to a game when Bowyer is getting told to F*** off from all sides of the ground. They need goals and a good atmosphere to keep them interested. Bowyer is not going to provide either so we are wasting our time if the hierarchy want the 'City for all' to work. Can't believe the lack of ambition from some fans. Seems some are just happy plodding along with any old shit they are served up but I'm not one of them. I'm in the same camp as you boredom will cause me to jack it in. It's a disgrace how this club is run absolutely backwards from top to bottom. Never thought I'd feel the way about City as I do now. Never used to blob games and now I'm struggling to see when my next home game will be. Can't see me going under Bowyer again. I've wasted enough time and money on that useless moron.

I think it's already starting. Sky has been highly influential over the past 20 years or so in how football has developed as TV entertainment. Now that Amazon is starting to get its own size 12's through the door, it will only reinforce the gulf between the haves and the have-nots. And as you say, you'll be able to see that only too easily from the playing fields of Tong School

Make no mistake mate i love this club, i hope my lad does too. We love the time together. But on Saturday we walking out of the ground through a run down town centre away from the ground and my lad said, 'what was the point of us coming today?' And he's 15. He is the next generation. He's been to most games the last 8 years or so. He's bored, he made some sarcastic remarks about the day on social media, his somewhat distain of lower league football in a dying town. he wasn't wrong. It may stir the emotions of older fans, dilapidated stadia and real pints in a real pub. It means nothing to the younger generation. They want to see freeflowing passing football, action, social media celebrities, football may feel like its dying to the older end but to the younger end its just starting. Just not how us oldies remember it.
