He hasn't played since about November and we find ourselves out of the FA Cup and still in the bottom 4.

That isn't Wright's fault or any of the players that are not in the squad.

Trying looking at players like 0'Connor and Chicksen plus others then you will find the real issues.

No mate am not jealous of Wright. I am better looking, have more money than him. No need to be jealous of him or his family.

I just don't like bullying!! It's sad!

 

He’s getting paid 4 grand a week for sod all fordy. I’m sure he isn’t crying into his cornflakes. He’s probably laughing his tits off.

And that's what Hopkin is doing wrong mate.

I would had these players in the match day squad of the last couple of months instead of giving them Saturday off.

Now it's different as we've signed some loan players but I would of been laughing if I were Wright, Reeves etc..

Bradford City might has well have given the homeless about 20k a month as we're wasting wages.

My point in all these is you can't blame the players. The manager has to be smarter in situations like this e.g. "The transfer window is shut now, the squad is the squad and we will need all the squad to help us get out of the trouble we're in" That's all he needed to say.

 

Says the man who's constantly picking on Park and browbeating everyone for lacking ambition.

And if Wright would bugger off to a club that wants a lazy stroller we could afford to bring in better players than Chicksen and O'Connor.

 

That's not Wright's problem.

It's Bradford City's problem for buying him, Chicksen, O'Connor and other sh&site.

 

These players gave us nothing. Hopkin sees them and their attitude every day.

At the start of the window he made clear they weren’t in his plans and told them to find new clubs.

That’s as transparent as you can get.

They’ll give us nothing beyond what the other players we have in those positions give. And by excluding them he further pushes them into making a move in the summer so we can repurpose their wages
It’s proper management. Forced upon his by the mess he inherited.

 

We all know that.
But it still doesn't help us now. Or explain why Wright is happy to sit on a big wage and watch the rest of his career go down the toilet.

I find it hard to believe we will ever see Wright,Riley or Reeves playing again for us.The depth of feeling expressed by fans would frighten them to death if they had to take to the pitch again.

It's a shame the club is lumbered with what is a financial burden and the problem is they won't want to move as there's no way they'll get a pay day like they have now.The fault is why did we ever value them so highly to pay such a wage?

Wright is on a 2 year contract and will be leaving at the end of next season. I agree with you regarding the general direction of his career and his general attitude, but i still maintain that he'll be a reasonably attractive proposition for a league 2 club on paper.
When you consider some of the tripe we had playing for us pre PP we'd have taken someone of Wrights credentials, even if he was out of favour for his previous club. He has good experience in this league and in the Championship so i wouldn't be at all surprised if a league 2 club (wrongly) think he can do a job for them.

 

Maybe we should discuss to mutually cancel his contract? As a free agent he can sign for someone else and the settlement would be less than his contract term.

 

Or if he negotiates to leave at the end of the season we'll save on 6-9 months wages and goodness knows what 'bonuses' . It's all about the money

 

Anyway, anyone read the article in today's T&A on this subject. Think Hopkin's views are clearer than the initial comment and I agree with him

They all come into train and have a chance to be included. It's up to them to show they have the right attitude and are putting in the effort in training.

Hopkin shouldn't be favouring Riley or Wright over others. All he's seen is they've not been as good as other players and we have to back his judgement.

Afore mentioned then splashes out good Lge 1 packages to substandard lower level players.

Point being ............ Much as I (all of us ?) welcome Stefans financial input - Did he not smell a rotting rat in all this ?
Add to that the fast turnover of tried and trusted Office personnel, surely Stefan was not so detached he was unaware of all this ?

IMO, Stefan Rupp could and should have been ruthless much earlier, as a businessman.

Now we are left with a full stewpot of steaming crap for God knows how long. Oliver Twist will NOT be asking for more !

How does everybody know what salary’s these players are on! If it’s common knowledge somebody has seriously breached the clubs GDPR. I know there are people connected to the club who love everyone to know that they are ITK, there are a few loose lips around if u know the right people.

My “opinion” is that Wright and Riley’s wages are heavily dictated by Rahics dream of performance related pay. I don’t believe for one minute that Wright is on £4K basic...more likely £2k + £2k based on various things (appearance money, win bonus etc). Would certainly explain why neither Wright or Riley are nowhere near the squad.

Back into talking about “loose lips”. I did hear a story that the manager was incensed by a certain player boasting about their new expensive car on social media earlier in the season whilst we were losing every week. Said player hasn’t played since.....

 

Yes, of course it is. But if Hopkin thought they were any good they'd have at least been on the bench instead of kids. He doesn't strike me as someone who cuts off his nose to spite his face.
