You know it's bad when everyone is delighted to have Captain Admin back as a consultant.

Let's hope he doesn't add a 4th relegation onto his family's CV of involvement.

 

This latest development is just a sop to try and quiet discontent. Knowing how much Rhodes disliked anything to do with publicity, it's going to do nothing to improve communications between those at the top and the fans either.

If I was Edin I'd be feeling like a spare pr*ck right about now. If only it'd be enough to shame him out of the club.

As for what this fixes I'm not immediately sure. Does the chain of command go Rupp>Rhodes>Hopkin with Rahic looking on from the sidelines?

Actually, having thought about it Rhodes>Hopkin would be the more ideal set up with Rupp just providing the funds and Rahic twiddling his thumbs somewhere far from VP.

I don't. He and his wife are being well paid. Cash that the club needs under ffp. Obviously, he has to draw income but if he has had to get rid of staff who draw in the income so that he can pay himself and missus a bit more, this is false economy.

 

Someone for Edin to hide behind, can't see how this will ever work. Don't let the Edin Out momentum stop

I have the utmost respect for JR, if for whatever reason we still end up in league 2, it will not be down to him, we are just too far in the mire to recover. If anybody can do he can! As he says in his statement we have been through worse times and survived. He gets the glory if we make it, and no blame if we don’t in my view.

 

Trust me, the fact that Julian has agreed to come back speaks volumes.

 

He and his family took divs. They said they didn’t know, BFG led them down the garden path of oblivion. Prof Rhodes looked me in the eye and told me that himself. Both him and Julien have run successful business. Yes their neglect in being more actively involved and we ended up in admin. Prof told me they trusted Geoffrey and had no reason to question his decisions.

However, since that time, plus they put their own home up as surety to the Inland Revenue very brave in my view.

So yes mistakes were made, and they learnt the hard way. If they had buggered off as they could have done I would have a different view.

Are you for real @Park bantam, you're suggesting Julian has been onboard since these two clowns purchased the club, if that was the case which it isn't, then why would we expect any changes now it's known he is officially doing what he did before unofficially, there is certainly something in the sea air in Whitby.

 

This, imo is a just aSTICKING PLASTER to stop the momentum of the GET EDIN OUT CAMPAIGN.

Personally, i couldn't disagree more. Whilst i don't doubt for a minute his intentions of nurturing then selling youth to make a fat profit were his initial intentions, i firmly believe he's realised the error of his ways and has abandoned this project. And any notion that bringing in a consultant in the shape of Mr Rhodes is an attempt to shift the blame is ludicrous. Your head needs a good shake.

He is clearly trying to play on our heart strings to keep us on side. Truth is, his behaviour is just pushing us further and further away. USING GOOD PEOPLE flippantly to try save his own skin. WHAT A MESS!
