If this bringing in Rhodes is an attempt by rahic & rupp to find a way to continue thier b*llshit at Bradford City whilst having an excuse to say its not their fault anymore if things dont improve i am pretty sure that most of us dont buy it!

Its clear to all of us that all those two want is to keep developing youth at any expense until one day they get lucky and earn a few million, even if the club is languishing in 16th place league 2 mediocrity! We can see it a mile off, and bringing in rhodes so that all the fans discontenet and flack is diverted to him isnt going to work! These two need to LEAVE THE CLUB ALONE, and go use another team for their little business venture

What does everyone else feel on this?
I just think its an attempt to continue thier madness and having a way to direct flack if things carry on going downhill.

Not sure about that. I'd imagine he'd like to see a return on his investment.
You could also argue that "If there is no improvement, Rahic will want to take the wheel again"
That would logically be a ridiculous situation.

The attack worries me. The only solution I can think is prising someone like Hanson back, but as he's at Wimbledon anyway - our fellow struggles, that ain't gonna happen!!

Some would say it's a sign of how desperate we are - but it was interesting to see that despite how incompetent Brunker is (bless him!!) his physical presence disturbed their defence

At least players agents might be more willing to discuss and bring them to City if they are dealing and talking with Mr Rhodes and Mr Hopkin.

I actually dont agree. I think the pair of them are panicking about relegation and think Rhodes can genuinely help. Julian wont have come back without some gurantees that he will be listened to.
I understand fans being skeptical but I dont think this is just a PR stunt.
The big question is the investment for me and who is going to pay to improve the squad.
I also dont believe for a minute that Edin called Rhodes on Sunday. I imagine this has been in the pipeline for a while.

I don't think the only solution is to bring in a Hanson type target man. Why can't Hopkin change the style to suit the players we have?

You must mix with some very wealthy people whilst playing across the globe? Get some feelers out to find City a bored but football mad billionaire to buy these clowns out, please.

The attack is paramount to us having any chance of getting out of this mess. There are some very good target men in this division, the likes of Marquis and Moore. Charlie Wyke showed how important is to have a physical presence in this division as did the Portsmouth number 9 last week. The amount of times he held up the ball or cleverly gained a free kick to gain field territory was plain to see. I still think we have a very good striker in Eoin Doyle despite his goal drought. His first touch is good and he never gives up but has been successful alongside better foils than the all effort but of his depth Miller.
Problem is without that focal point the ball just keeps coming back and that puts a fragile defence under constant pressure. Hopkin has already mentioned that this team cannot pass through midfield and i tend to agree with him. I guarantee if we had John Marquis or an equivalent player upfront the rest of the team would look half as bad as it does now. The fact we made no serious attempt to bring this type of player rest with Abbott and Rahic, it should have been a priority when it was known Wyke was leaving but as we know our recruitment policy has left us with some decent jigsaw pieces but purchased for the wrong jigsaw. This mismanagement can and has to be rectified to allow Hopkin a chance of progress. Unfortunately it looks like that progress will be a big step backwards before we can go forwards.

Personally, i couldn't disagree more. Whilst i don't doubt for a minute his intentions of nurturing then selling youth to make a fat profit were his initial intentions, i firmly believe he's realised the error of his ways and has abandoned this project. And any notion that bringing in a consultant in the shape of Mr Rhodes is an attempt to shift the blame is ludicrous. Your head needs a good shake.

Thats not his style, all managers have their MO and Hopkin likes the big man as a focal point. He has no confidence in this teams ability to pass through midfield anyway, he's already been quoted with that.

Where do we get a good target man? more importantly how much is it going to cost? can we afford not to purchase? Is there any in the free market? If not can we target on for January? It is not like we won’t need one if we drop into league 2. This is going to cost big time shopping in the January malarkey is expensive and even more so because of our position.

Totally agree with that. Trouble is the defense and midfield aren't playing that great either.
There is NO CHANCE we can escape the drop with 0-0 draws.
We're gonna need around an average of almost 2 goals per game.
It's not gonna be easy, or cheap.
