Proof is in the pudding,Rhodes has to work closely with edin, good luck with that,

edin is still attached to the club like a human stain,

we will all soon see if anything has changed in the way the club is run and the (mis)fortunes of the team/Hopkin.

Honestly, I think its another admission by Edin and we need to give this some time. Hopkin seems to be making team and recruitment decisions, Rhodes is now surely in to make day to day decisions. Its another buffer between Edin and any kind of decision making that could further damage the club - that has to be a good thing.

On Edin, in some ways I feel for him. This is his dream and he has been found wanting. It must be difficult for him because I don't think his actions are with any particularly bad intention, its just pure naivety. Rhodes has been through it all and knows the club as much as anyone else. Hopefully that means some balance at the top now.

Indeed. First thoughts are "great news".

Fascinating to see how it's gonna work in practice. Can't imagine Rahic being comfy on the naughty step for long. Even though that's clearly what Rupp has done.

Possibly I don't know tbh only going on what I've seen on here and heard in the real world from a couple of people, they said Lawn wanted out as he'd had enough after the death of his wife, it contradicts what is often put on here but I suppose we'll see if Lawn does mount a bid or not.

I agree with most of your post. The best advice anybody could give Edin is to see a life coach, because his arrogance and ppl skills need a lot to be desired. It might well be his dream, but the first thing you need to do is listen to ppl who have been there and done the job. They both have under researched by a country mile. This will require careful planning and expertise in investment and we will need it, we cannot get out of this mess without it. I presume we are paying JR so less money in the kitty?

    Interesting!

    '
In a joint statement, Rupp and Rahic added: “We are privileged to be welcoming Julian back to the club and he has our full support.

“Following a period of reflection, we felt the time was right to seek assistance of a true Bradford City man who knows the club inside out and can offer day-to-day guidance.

“His expertise will be paramount in helping us turn things around. He will be working closely with me and Stefan while building a strong relationship with David Hopkin.”

So it moves from plural (joint) to singular (me). So who has made the statement? If it was a joint statement it would be with us, or if Stefan wasn't directly involved, then a joint statement would say Edin.

Reading this it is Edin's statement and not a joint one!

I don't. He and his wife are being well paid. Cash that the club needs under ffp. Obviously, he has to draw income but if he has had to get rid of staff who draw in the income so that he can pay himself and missus a bit more, this is false economy.

    1. He's not been involved for something like the past four weeks
    2. Hopkin would not Still be staying, given the rubbish we've been playing, ie harder job than first thought AND having Edin chirping in his ear
    3. He and more importantly told us that it's all up to Hopkin in terms of player and management recruitment
    4. Hopkin stated he'd been talking to free agents. It wasn't Edin
    5. You've not got a sulky 'ask Greg/Edin as recruitments nothing to do with me' comment from Hopkin. Quite the opposite, actually

What other proof do you want? Some people are actually intelligent enough to realise that they have to change their approach, to get a something moving in the right direction.

Someone for Edin to hide behind, can't see how this will ever work. Don't let the Edin Out momentum stop

Not at all. Maybe should have put an admission "by the owners".

Completely agree and with Rhodes back in, at least there is someone there that has been there and done the job. Could Rhodes' return prompt others to be called back?

Hopefully it isn't less money in the transfer kitty and more a realisation that we are going to need to spend to try and get out this mess.

As others have said, the next few weeks will be very interesting. Is it possible that Edin can act as a more silent owner?

    Great news

I really don't understand the befuddlement from some.

Our owners have fouled up and know that they'll never ever get around 20% on side. Far too many to just idly lose

Get in one of our most sensible businessmen we've ever had, who is loved by the fans

    = Investment protected

If Rhodes fail, they say that it wasn't just them who tried and failed

Classic cynical 'abdication management', but also very pragmatic and astute of them
