Maybe now he’s back home he may sign for Harrogate Town. Close to home and he would be a bit of a star player for them , and a decent challenge for himself. He’s to good for non league but after his injuries this will give him plenty of game time and get himself back to his best.

Probably because all the players they've transfer listed have no chance at PL level, whereas all our contracted players should in theory be good enough for league 2. I'd imagine there'd be a lot more of a discussion about our players as its not as clear

Think he's already had several offers from L1 clubs presumably at good L1 money

 

I will happily stand corrected at the end of next season but i think we will see Akpan come into his stride. Part of me thinks he would be a good CB.

 

didnt look quite up to scratch at L1 this time around but wish him all the best and I hope he succeeds elsewhere

 

What makes you think he'd be a good CB? All the physique but nothing behind it.

 

50/50 He’s done nowt since January, but lives locally and had a previous spell with City.

 

His most redeeming quality was when opposition players ran into him and he didnt budge. I reckon the poison of Rahic affected the moral of most of the players who we would have previously rated. Akpan and Scannel and Doyle. I think next season we will see more from them. Fingers crossed anyway

 

Rahic left before Christmas, they've had months to show they were arsed. Didn't look like it to me, they are professionals, if I didn't like my boss at work my level of application wouldn't change, I'd be sacked if it did.

 

TBF, it was never wise to compare this close season to last. This time last year, our preparation was so unprofessional, we made Bolton look ‘solid’

 

Is heading has one of his strongest attributes though saw little of that? For me he would have to improve that aspect of his game to play cb.

 

Agreed, for such a big lad its like watching a ballerina out there sometimes, if he wants to be any good in any position he has to start dominating games and imposing himself much more

 

For me he looked at his best when getting on the ball and driving forward. Unfortunately we didn't see much of it.

 

when he did do that he looked v difficult to play against but as you say mate we saw that all to little this season.
