Think however Bowyer goes about it he has to be careful. If he tells Wright etc. they're not wanted but we can't offload them we could be stuck with players who want to play for the club even less than before which isn't a good base for success.

Why has Bowyer offered new contracts to 3 central midfielders when we already have Akpan, Wright and Reeves who can play there ?

 

The players have no excuse but it's a blank slate now for me if we can't offload them, we absolutely cannot afford to have players who won't play for the club next season no matter how bad they were this season. Look at NKP for example, he was shocking last season and the half season before that but was a key part of the playoff final team. Obviously the blame lies with the players but the levels of incompetence above them for the past year and a half won't have helped

Was he a key part or was he being carried by those around him? I can't and won't forgive the players for this season. In danger of repeating myself but I don't see why they should get a clean slate, they've been pathetic all season apart from when they turned it on in December.
