Remaining Fixtures/Results/Points/Position Predictions

Mansfield have got an awful March.
Wimbledon away looks like their easiest match which says a lot.
They could be out of the running by April.
Stockport and Northampton away
Orient and Sutton at home with games against Grimsby and the Dons

 

Honestly i think the opposite, we are gearing up to bang on form exactly when we need to be.

we haven't lost an away game since boxing day.

 

I think Orient at home last game of season will be ideal as they will have clinched the league title by then and might lack a bit of intensity. Then if we need a win to go up automatically it would make for a fantastic atmosphere and hopefully they’ll be on the beach.

 

It's too difficult to predict how we'll do, let alone teams we don't watch.

It's a good effort all round, but these predictions tend to assume good teams win or draw their 'easy' games - but that isn't how it works...

Leyton Orient aren't actually doing fantastically well lately (last 10 games they're on a par with us) and they're miles ahead, so you'd think they'll see the season out with maybe 90 points.

80 points is probably enough for third, and not much difference down to seventh. Every team has the potential to go on a good or bad run, plus or minus maybe ten points, so picking which team finish where...

Very tough indeed.

So in conclusion. Who knows!!

 

History shows just looking at opponents in isolation is a dangerous tactic. Whomever has whomever in its own right does not determine the potential result.

Im certain we will all revisit this thread and scratch our heads. Hopefully, in terms of BCFC, less so

 

It’s quite funny when these sort of predictor things raise their heads.
I think most of us agree that we’ve played a lot better against the better teams and struggled against the so called “weaker” teams and a few posters have even said they would prefer to play the better sides who open a bit rather than the teams at the bottom who only come to “park the bus”

But when other play off contenders are playing the so called “stronger” teams they are described as having a “hard” month.
We don’t want to play the teams at the bottom but it’s easy points for other clubs who are playing the exact same teams.
It’s funny how we see things sometimes in a way that suits our particular club and gear it towards us having success.

It’s like the refs who are accused of always being “homers” when we are away but the exact same refs are then accused of deliberately not being influenced by the VP crowd and aren’t “homers”

We’ve all watched football for long enough to realise that predicting anything where city are concerned is pointless.

 

Carlisle also have a tough month coming up.

 

Looking at the fixtures If we can keep our PPG average I would suggest we might be 3 places higher than we are now.
