28--30 points from here on in is a definite possibility, but 24-26 is what we will probably get.
Final position will also depend on other results around us.

Apart from the final few games that's one dream of a run in (on paper of course).

 

First two have us to lose at home to Carlisle. Beat them and that could be huge this season!

Saturday was a decent performance. Tonight was a proper performance, a promotion type performance.

Bring that into the home games and we can just about think about getting excited

 

Gillingham weren't as good as everyone seemed to think after all...

 

On tonight's performance we are not as poor as everyone thinks either

 

For sure.

I thought this would be a lot closer, but because I thought it might play out in a boring fashion.

Far from it!

 

The next month see us play 6 games are against teams in 3rd, 14th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 22nd. 3 at home and 3 away.

4 wins is a realistic target.

In the same period Stevenage have Carlisle, Salford and Northampton.

2nd and 3rd are officially up for grabs here. We would be second if we hadn't surrendered 6 points to crap like Barrow and Rochdale.

 

Don't say that...

Whenever we're in striking distance of 3rd, it's nosebleed time at Valley Parade!

I'm impressed with our last two wins, but the Barrow performance was nothing short of cowardly.

 

The way we play against the "better teams", I think I'd prefer a run in with teams that are mostly above us rather than below us!

 

Just having a look at the fixtures that matter. Lets call Leyton Orient as done, and anyone below Mansfield are unlikely.

This is March. Only us and Northampton have one game against a team in the top 10, Stevenage and Salford have two games against top 10 opposition, Carlisle and Stockport three games and Mansfield have four games against those in the top 10.

Saturday the 18th looks key, us playing Hartlepool at home before sitting back and seeing 4 of our rivals play against each other.

I could almost get a little giddy looking at this, however it's the "lesser team" that is usually our downfall.

 

For what it's worth I give Stevenage 9 points, Carlisle 7 points, Northampton 11 points, Stockport 12 points, Us 14 points, Salford 11 points, Mansfield 7 Points.

Which would see

making it a 6 way battle for 2 automatic promotion spots.

And yes my bias might be in favour of Bradford but I have also handed wins to our rivals where they are also likely to drop points.

 

There is a predictor table live with the remaining fixtures for anyone who wants to play out the season. All the teams around us have hard March and Aprils compared to us. I have us getting 6 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses from our remaining 14 and ending up 4th, setting up a tie with Stockport in the play offs.
