Nice news here in Cyprus. I said on a post ages ago his is a physical injury, made far worse by Rahic's lunatic fitness coach who made him train pre season when he wasn't ready. Jake in good spirits for many a week now. Will run his way back and then perhaps all the medical experts on here will shut up and accept their mentalist theories were wrong.

the club and medical staff have to abide by confidentiality law, they can’t disclose any medical records or medical information without player consent. if jake reeves doesn’t want his confidential medical records in the open and in the media then that’s his right and prerogative - people just need to get over their need to know everything about everything and accept it.

GB clearly has paid more attention to Jake than anyone else over the last 18 months. We've had 3 Managers, one German so called fitness coach and a know it all Chairman who all dumped Jake as far as I can see. The solution of Edin, as in all cases of failure was to simply sign another in the hope we could get promotion and the blown budget could be covered by Championship money. GB has clearly got a handle on things. I would suggest you drop the speculation on Jake and let those who are dealing, deal.Budgie, WilsdenBantam, Ollylondonbantam and 14 others like this. -

Yes, if we can get him free of injury and his head right, he should be a very good player for the 4th tier.

Fordy can say what he wants, but the "bottler" has shown top man management skills with Reeves through this process. Top work by Gary.

Some comments on Reeves completely spin my head. There was one on the T&A that claimed he was obviously a “pot head” (fortunately now removed). Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people?!
We’ve had sufficient enough information to have an understanding that his situation isn’t as simple as just the injury. Done - for now what else do we need to know? Bowyer has clearly indicated his support in Reeves to hopefully get him back playing. Bravo to him. Let the lad continue his recovery and support him rather than victimise him.
I for one will be happy to see him back in our squad if he can regain the form he had at Wimbledon, and some of the games he played for us. Whilst he didn't put in back to back world beating performances, there were signs of decent player, very much so for league two level.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Great News.
Everyone involved in Jake's lengthy recovery deserves a huge pat on the back.
Our club has it's fair share of critic's and doesn't always cover it's self in glory stories but this news will be heartfelt by our supporters up and down the country.

He'll be on the bench for the cup game and probably the next league game and if he comes through those unscathed he'll be in contention for a starting place.
A fit central midfield of Cooke, Reeves and Pritchard would allow Bowyer to play his preferred 433 system and would boss this division.Allotment Bantam, Sheffield Bantam, Andy10 and 9 others like this. -

Just my interpretation here... but i'm not sure the rehabilitation programme is for anything more than injury. A series of setbacks could simply mean on a physical level, his body not responding to the physio like hed hoped, or one problem leading to another.
If the rehabilitation is to be taken in the context of tackling a drug, alcohol or gambling habit, I'd be suprised but hope he can get sorted over the summer, whatever the issue is, as I think he has the ability to do it in L2Doodle, Pineapple Salesman, Bantamigo and 7 others like this. -
Here we go again every time Reeves name comes up, there is all kinds of speculation about ‘what is wrong with him’ All we need to know is that he is not available to play football. The club have been spot on as far as I am concerned, supporting our player back to full recovery if that is possible. I am pleased he is continuing his recovery through the summer.
He is one of our players, and we should be supporting him all the way.Queenybantam, WilsdenBantam, Botswana Bantam and 7 others like this. -

I said then a simple if deep seated injury was made worse by Edin's lunatic fitness coach who made Jake do the hard stuff when he wasn't ready. Perhaps, like me, a few will actually look to welcome him back when the time is right and in proper BCFC style help him put the last 18 months or so behind him.RCarol, Allotment Bantam, bantamdave41 and 6 others like this. -

Could be depression.
My (Estonian) football league career was ended by two groin injuries. The first I had an operation and was out for around five months. Two games back, it tore again. Really depressed me and struggled to get motivated. Horrible injury as for a while you’ve got your leg stuck out in front of you and can’t do much (ask my Mrs!).
Hope he’s getting his head back together. I played a friendly game in October and my mind was constantly on the muscle tearing. Next morning I felt it was gonna ping any minute, so decided that was that.
Good luck to him on his comeback!Skyebantam, MallorcaBantam, Damo and 5 others like this. -

He needs easing in. Building back up. 10-20 mins from the bench. 30 mins from the bench. 60 mins from the start. 75 mins, then a full game. Staggered over the next 6-8 weeks, then by the start of next year hopefully we have a fit and confident Reeves, ready to play a full part.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Will say also massive respect to Reeves for even playing again as I personally had given up the ghost with him. I liked him as a player before that so if hekeeps up his performances like his comeback game then I honestly think he could be one of the players to be the difference between us getting say the autos or just the playoffs. A bit of creativity and the eye for a pass alongside his work rate is exactly what you need playing against the set up that teams usually have when they play us, which at times we've struggled to break down. As a quick aside from the highlights of that game some of the movement and passing was insanely good at the start from the whole team. Hate clichés but I do think he'll be like a new signing.marshy77, borderlescott, Ollylondonbantam and 5 others like this.
