If he was a honourable man like some on here keep telling us then he would have respected the referendum and not tried in all his powers to stop it and these people tried.
He didn’t respect or honour the will of the people did he but you just keep up with the insults pal.

But we now know that he also participated for twenty minutes in a gathering where the (non-socially distanced) room was so packed that some people had to sit on others laps to fit them all in. And there's photographic evidence of him doing it. This was clearly and obviously (except to you, apparently) against the law.
There was nothing whatsoever 'essential for work purposes' about any of this - it was socialising, pure and simple, while the rest of the country was prevented from doing so. It's beyond me that you don't understand this and constantly seek to minimise it.
Equating the meal in Durham with months of routine law-breaking is perverse and absurdtrevor and JonButterfield like this. -

When the pandemic started vast swathes of the Civil service were told to work from home where you could- especially those staff with existing underlying health conditions.
Canteens were immediately closed. Staff remaining in offices had to eat at their own desk and at least 1 desk was set between staff for social distancing. No sharing of food/making drinks/stopping to chat in the corridors, plastic screens were put up-I could go on.
Except it seems Downing Street-and what irks me as a civil servant is that BJ in no 10 just completely stuck 2 fingers up and said feck the rules lets have drinky poos and whether the gathering was a party or not gatherings were expressly forbidden throughout the civil service. The semantics over what constitutes a party is irrelevant-no gatherings were allowed inside Government buildings per se. That came from the cabinet. Social distancing was the mantra in all areas at all times-no ifs or buts.
All meetings were to be conducted by MS Teams and some still are.
Except it seems no10.
The only reason BJ is sorry is that he has been caught out shoving his own guidance down the throats of the population.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Bantamsteve and Interested Bystander like this. -
My lasses grandad was an ex firefighter and served in ww2. He died at home with only my lasses mum there and no other family allowed. In the days leading up to his death we were allowed to see him through his window and with the front door open. He knew he was dying, half unconscious he rose in his seat a weakened and emaciated man and shouted 'im going to die'. This was in May 2020, we couldnt have his funeral until September 2020.
If you said what you are saying here to my lasses face. She would plant the nut on you mate. Its time to keep your opinions to yourself. I doubt very much you would say this to someone in person. If you would then you are what can only be described as a gobshite.
Ive said it before, you defend the indefensible all the time by squirming around with technicalities and generally talk bollocks. You think you are clever and instead its just arrogance. Its really time to shut up.
If you want we can go to the other thread and you can argue until the cows come home about brexit. Maybe that will satiate your need to be contrarian.Bantamsteve and Keefly Bantam like this. -

The reason he will win the vote is because of the number of MPs who are getting a nice six figure salary by being ministers and junior ministers. They are hardly likely to vote against the status quo. Then you have those in safe seats for whom no matter who is in charge they will be returned to the commons at the next election. We have seen over 100 vote against the PM for the "Vaccine Passport" scheme and I would expect the number of MPs to vote against him today will be in the same ball park meaning Boris will win the vote by about 2 to 1. Which is the same margin of victory Theresa May had in her no confidence vote that did her no favours.

Perhaps Corbyn would be in a similar position, but there's no way it would be worse.
Boris and Corbyn are equally unpopular.
It's amazing that Boris has performed so badly that he's on equal footing with a man that couldn't achieve votes even in Labour heartlands.Bronco and Campbell's soup like this. -
