I would. Why would it make any difference to them?

They were screwed over by the rules and I feel massive amounts of sympathy for them.

But people drinking in an office is as relevant as nurses making TikToks or ant other apparent rule break......which 95% of people who worked throuhhout the pandemic probably technically did.

Honestly mate I think its time to drop it.

My lasses grandad was an ex firefighter and served in ww2. He died at home with only my lasses mum there and no other family allowed. In the days leading up to his death we were allowed to see him through his window and with the front door open. He knew he was dying, half unconscious he rose in his seat a weakened and emaciated man and shouted 'im going to die'. This was in May 2020, we couldnt have his funeral until September 2020.

If you said what you are saying here to my lasses face. She would plant the nut on you mate. Its time to keep your opinions to yourself. I doubt very much you would say this to someone in person. If you would then you are what can only be described as a gobshite.

Ive said it before, you defend the indefensible all the time by squirming around with technicalities and generally talk bollocks. You think you are clever and instead its just arrogance. Its really time to shut up.

If you want we can go to the other thread and you can argue until the cows come home about brexit. Maybe that will satiate your need to be contrarian.

I tend not to get involved in politics due to how badly I react but ill admit I'm finding it hard not to feel pure hatred toward Johnson. I can't even believe some seem to want to stand up for what is a vile human being. The utter contempt he and his party have for the working class people of this country makes me quite emotional when I saw what people have had to go through with the disgraceful lockdowns. If there is a movement of civil disobedience organised against them then count me in.

You'll come to your senses RT when you realise that yes he is a tw@t but there is NO credible alternative.....

I can't disagree with your comments about a credible alternative Tone but in the last 10 years I've seen this country go backwards quicker than I've ever seen. Law and order, education, the health service, infrastructure, I could go on, have been ignored in many working class areas of the country. Meanwhile billions of pounds of taxpayers money has literally been given away for nothing in return in systematic fraud while the chancellor turns a blind eye. if this had been 1990 people would have been on the streets violently protesting.

He didn’t lie, but he’s changing the rules anyway. For no reason.

Yes there are alternatives and credible ones at that. They are honest, have integrity and are trustworthy, qualities lacking in the current occupant of No 10. They are also current MPs who sit on the Govt back benches. It just tskes a few brave MPs to put their heads above the parapet and seek a vote of no confidence in Johnson.

He tried something similar when his mate Owen Paterson was forced to resign because of sleaze allegations. Fortunately on that occasion, the PM was forced to drop the rule changes he wanted which would have allowed Paterson to remain as an MP and instesd Paterson left Parliament.

I doubt it will happen on this occasion. It's straight out of the Trump playbook who intended pardoning himself for past misdemeanours if he had been re-elected as the prez.

An absolute excuse of a politician. I can only assume the ones backing him are either lacking intelligence or lacking any morals at all due to being part of the gravy train that is the conservatives at this time. Ill give them credit and go with the latter.

    I'm not being contrary mate.

As I've said. I have a lot of sympathy with your lasses situation and everyone else who went through similar.

To me it's clear though. The anger from people who missed out on seeing saying relatives should be because those stupid rules were put in place at the time and towards everyone who pushed for them. The government very much included. Directing that anger to people who broke similar - but nor the exact same rules is misdirected. I would say that exact same thing to anybody because its logical.

See if I can put it another way tonsee if it comes across any less nobish. I had a friend who got killed by a drink driver, I therefore get particularly angry if someone drinks and drives. I don't get angry if someone - even someone who works for the government - does 50 in a 40 and gets a speeding fine. To me it's very similar.

People like you think you are patriotic but actually you are harmful to the country.

He has shown time and time again he cant run the country and has managed to fool you into thinking he is the only choice. I mean its not hard to fool a fool but at the end of the day we dont need people like you ruining our democracy.

The ministerial code was there to protect our democracy which has an unwritten constitution. Now maybe you are being facetious on purpose. Or maybe you just dont see the wood for the trees. Either way you are no better than Lord Haw Haw. A scourge on british values and democracy.
