I've read the WOAP write up twice now - Yesterday, and today.

Whilst nothing is conclusive, we can't dismiss that progress in terms of commitment on and off the pitch, making communication with the fans is key, and suggested as such.
I applaud that further 'open meetings' will take place, and also hope they are just as open.

But for the NOW, and 'we must' view issues of many fans - We all, collectively, should hold an element of trust, as well as any such commitments for more than just the forthcoming season.

'When failed in a sculpture, the Potter does not have to change the whole Clay mix, to make amends'. City, and its support base, would be well served to remember that.

For all there may be tough times ahead, there are also some good times to be anticipated .......... Let's get the latter in motion, now. The Club and supporters together can achieve such things, jointly.

Until the August KO, none of us actually know who our playing staff will be, so lets be patient, and hold some realistic point of perspective, until then.

as I said, 2.6 is good. top 7 good. but not the biggest 'by far'.

 

I would be absolutely astonished if our budget is higher than Salford's. Even Mansfield have built/are building a Hilton Hotel by their stadium and have sacked their manager after not meeting their objective of automatic promotion, that doesn't sound like a low budget either. Top 7 probably, the best definitely not.

 

for me its enough to be successful if we spend correctly. Our failure last season wasn't that we weren't financially backed despite these weird constant rumours that we're broke. It was that we absolutely pissed all of that money up against the wall and wasted it. Now we actually have a man who's done things in football rather than a megalomaniac billy bullshitter who's in charge of recruitment, I'm much more optimistic.

 

I don’t think people necessarily said we were broke, I remember posters more calling them tight fisted Germans who pay in magic beans. It turned out to be wrong actually.

It was more a fact of Rahic suffocating McCall out of the club but not backing him, then the window after he’d gone he threw plenty of money around, not his like. Gave him the chance to play football manager. He knows football you know!

I’ve never believed we’re broke or the admin rumours. Obviously we have debt, Colchester have a bloody bigger debt than us though I don’t see why people get so hysterical at a club in debt. 90% are.

 

I don't know, seen a fair few posts on here and other places literally saying we're broke haha. I've never believed it myself but some people have a bee up their arse about it I guess. Absolutely, watching Rahic piss all that money on Eoin Doyle and some New Balance trainers made me hate him more to think of what he gave stuart to work with. We'd honestly have pissed that division had Stuart been backed in anything like the way Dickhedin backed himself.

 

They’ll always be one or two who just make sweeping statements like we’re broke. They never have anything to back it up though, often saying trust me I’ve been told etc. Just the way things are with Social Media and stuff now, rumours get around so quick and to all places.
