Because it was mainly the clubs fault.

    Awful pre season
    Poor coaching
    About 4 managers
    About 5 captains
    Poor recruitment in January
    Edin

Some of the players Bowyer does rate but Bowyer has to earn his money and coach these players & improve them.

It's unrealistic to think a club will get rid of 16 contracted players.

Yes I agree totally head/pocket ruling the heart
We can only hope that the "misfits" come to realize a playing career is very short lived and if they don't want to make it even shorter it's time to pull their fingers out no player will want to be remembered as an "also ran" in L2 particularly as the are still relatively young
Hopefully their agents may realize this and provide some encouragement

When a player crosses the white line it's all on his own shoulders to at least put the effort in and show pride in the shirt no amount of coaching can achieve that
The club didn't teach the poor couldn't care less attitude displayed last season
GB had long enough to coach something into these players but nothing seemed to work what makes you think a couple more months would make the difference

Man Utd, Chelsea to name two clubs to highlight that doesn't happen in today's world.

Not in the world of the Premier League I grant you that you are talking players who are multi millionaires and whose careers if they ended tomorrow would be more than financially secure
The players we had last season are mostly youngsters looking to progress/ressurect their careers and have not the success the players of Chelsea / Man Utd had

    Doesn't matter.

WOTP is still going on about Edin now so think about what effect it has on the players in the middle of the shi&e.

Good point but Edin left in December we didn't do much better after his departure Ir we fail again next season are we still going to trot that excuse out

There is no FFP in League 2. There is SCMP.

When Edin left results did get better in December then Hopkin messed it all up in Jan against Barnsley then handled players he didn't like poorly.

The recruitment in Jan was awful
    Drury was still there
And Bowyer comes in and fails to make a difference

I was wondering that. I quick google suggested the professional pilots union. I didn't think their remit would be as wide as that.

    I understand.

Port Vale anticipate theirs to be £1.4m.
    Forest Green - £1.75m
    Swindon: £2m

All I know is back in our old L2 days, we never had a large budget in comparison to the top 7. This time round, things are far better.

Fair enough pal. May I ask how you derive at the figures for Port Vale, Forest Green and Swindon

Fan forum’s and articles already out in the public domain.

Mansfield and Lincoln’s were both over £3m last season.

No idea, but imagine they’ll throw the kitchen sink at it again. They’ve retained the vast majority of their squad and released only 3 players. It could be higher this campaign.
