Sorry but the club chose a management style so we can't expect him to change everything to suit a preference for young players who may or may not have potential whether it's Staunton or Crankshaw

 

Agree Dave. Too many are weeping crocodile tears over a player who's never made it anywhere near becoming a regular for us since he arrived. Flattered to deceive in the odd cameo, but largely a headless chicken who didn't seem to know how to link up with the players around him.

 

Sounds like every league 2 winger to me. Vernam wouldn’t be playing in this league if he could finish. Much of a muchness but we are weaker without Crankshaw in the squad.

28th September a new record for writing the season off as a shambles.
Is this our new business model? Sign players for a bit and make £5k-£10k profit flogging them to a more ambitious conference side?

 

I agree the club went on and on about youth development, then brought in a manager who is only bothered about results and not developing youngsters for profit. It’s the club who have yo-yo’d on this not Adams he’s just acting as he has at every club he’s been at. If they wanted someone who shared their vision(I’m still not sure what it actually is) they should have gone for a head coach rather than old school manager.

 

Wigan took a punt on him and it wasn’t a success. Stockport were very keen on him before we nipped which suggests Stockport knew his position in the order of things. Personally I feel he may have been more suited to them in Jan but clearly had ambitions and who can blame him. At least he’s given it a go, good luck.

 

Sparks has no knowledge of football, it’s evident. He may know business and marketing I don’t know I can’t comment on that, but we either need to let Adams call the shots on a footballing side or have a head of football, either way Sparks should stick to off field operations.

 

The lad hasn't been able to hold a starting place down, he comes off the bench at best, when the guy interviewing Adams says he thought Crankshaw did well when introduced he reply was good I didn't, the writing was on the wall for the kid, whether he was a bad trainer we'll never know but no point in just being a bench warmer unless something changed at Valley Parade that's all he was going to be.
