Sounds like every league 2 winger to me. Vernam wouldn’t be playing in this league if he could finish. Much of a muchness but we are weaker without Crankshaw in the squad.

It just seems like a strange time to be letting players go. I’d fully back the decision if this was Jan 2nd and we werent on a run of no wins in 7 and missing 6 first team players.
I suspect there has been some kind of bust up between the player and the manager after his remarks on Saturday.

 

And I'd take it all again in a breath compared to any of the people that have had us since.

I'd much rather go out in a blaze of glory than die the slow lingering death that is currently our fate.

 

There's a very long list of folk who have. Jimmy Saville, Geoffrey Archer, Gary Verity to name three.

23 years old and less than 30 starts in league football just about sums him up. National League is his level.

 

He doesn’t and frankly neither do I. Gillyis going the same route , he’s getting less effective every game imho.

 

It is absolutely, a win all round, we get a fee as opposed to a free agent released in Jan (?) and he gets a three year deal.

Thats one of a tough one? Richmond brought us something I never thought we would ever see at VP. He has that in his favour despite his ethics!

 

The offer might not be on the table come Jan 2nd though. At the end of the day if we receive an offer where we make a profit for a player who has flattered to deceive, who is also struggling to impress the manager, surely it’s a no brainer?

Adam’s comments sound as though the club accepted the offer and it was left to Crankshaw to decide whether he wanted to fight for his place or move on. He’s decided to go, so that’s the end of it.

For the immediate short term not great for Saturday (hoping Vernam is back) however for the longer term (season) is it really a big loss? Did Crankshaw strike you as the level of player and character that is going to turn this rotten form around? Not for me unfortunately........

I suspect the bust up happened well before Saturday and was more to do with Crankshaw's general attitude and showing in training. I think we're getting the idea that Adams is a hard line manager who doesn't forgive or forget. But neither did Fergie, and he seemed to do alright after a difficult start!

 

There's always one who has to spoil it!
