Apparently Kwarteng struggled to find a seat on the plane back from the USA.

No one wanted him anywhere near business or economy.

    I'll get me coat...

To be totally honest I don’t think the Tory party or any Conservative Member of Parliament, or any Conservative Party Member paid us.

The money came from the British Treasury and will be underwritten ‘in simple terms’, by borrowing, which the great British Public will repay through Taxation.

So we paid for it, not some Tory Money Tree Fairy!

However I personally welcome the fact that you have volunteered that all Tories willpay off Furlough.

    Wonderful gesture!

I will buy you a coffee in thanks.

I wonder what it was about the Indian fellow that 54% of the Tory membership didn't like?

Just remind me, which Govt negotiated the Dublin Agreement with other European states which enabled the UK to return illegal immigrants back to a European nation through which the illegal immigrant had travelled? Oh yes, that was in 2003 when Blair was the PM.

Maybe you could also remind me who cancelled our membership of the Dublin Agreement when he negotiated the Withdrawal Agreement as part if the Brexit negotiations despite being warned of the implications? Oh yes, that was Johnson when he was the PM in his rush to get Brexit done. His action now prevents the UK returning immigrants to an originating European country.

It's odd how the facts have changed so dramatically and we now have a very different storyline with the blame having been transferred from the guilty to the innocent. As you say, we've had a Govt in power for the past 12 years who wants to take no responsibilty for their actions. Instead it's all the fault of a Labour Govt, the forriners and of course the French.

Nothing will change for the working man

You could almost think this is all a plan to get fatso back in, I wouldn't put it past the arrogant buggers. Create a worse situation to get him back as some kind of heroic knight in rusty armour

No matter the situation, the Tories were always good at showing some sort of United front, something that used to be alien to labour. Now they all need eyes in the back of their heads to prevent being stabbed in the back. I genuinely think that as the world becomes more accessible and people can get information from more credible sources than main stream media that folk are beginning to see modern day politics for the utter shit show that it is. That despite efforts to keep the majority of public dumbed down with their narratives. I look at Johnson and see nothing. No talent other than a comedic buffoon able to make folk laugh with his Frank Spencer like antics. Yet this tool is actually welcomed back by MPs and some of the public, the likes of which should have their ability to vote removed.

Obviously the pandemic has created massive public spending out of necessity. But for the previous ten years the Tories relentlessly slashed and burned public service spending yet still ended up borrowing more than every Labour government put together.

They've managed to achieve the incredible feat of privatising, devastating or destroying vast swathes of public services without achieving any of the efficiencies they keep claiming will result from their policies, and at the same time have massively increased the national debt. Yet still they claim that it's Labour who can't be trusted with the economy! Just how badly do they have to run things before people begin to realise that the Tories are economically incompetent at anything except lining the pockets of the richest people in society - ie themselves and their friends?

    Tugenhadt seems the most human...

Sunak the least... I mean the guys worth £730m Evrything seems so staged, so fake, so orchestrated...

Sunak would be worse than having Boris...This country really doesn’t need Sunak. The Blues don’t need him. No way someone worth £730m get on same page as the normal Jo public.

Not to mention the £35 billion that Johnson & Sunak handed to their mates to provide totally useless test, track & trace services.

If the Tory MPs put Truss and Sunak in the final 2 they really haven't learnt anything.

Two MPs who have been front and centre in this shitshow being the choice of next leader. They may aswell have kept Johnson.

Boris made a great parting speech at Prime Ministers questions today and showed how poor Starmer the Labour leader is, Even his own front bench looked embarrassed watching his poor attempt at trying to attack Boris and the Tories,

Labour will have to up there game, just criticising what the Tories didn't do won't win them the next election we want to know what they would do going forward, the blame game is lazy politics.

I enjoyed Gillian Tett's earlier comment (she's a financial journalist and editor-in-chief at the FT) when discussing the nature of the Truss Govt and its financial competence ..

"The UK is now the same as Italy ... but without the sunshine, glamour and good food"
