Let's be clear that fracking will not reduce power bills in this country. Like the gas we produce at the moment it will be sold on the international markets at market prices not at any UK market

Exactly. The gas produced, whether from the North Sea by the likes of Shell, BP and Centrica or fracked from underground by the Australian-Chinese-US mining companies, doesn't belong to the UK. The gas is licensed to the gas producers and sold by them at world prices wherever they want. For all intents, the gas is theirs and it's a matter for them where it gets sold. Short of nationalising the domestic producers of british gas, the gas producers can currently do what is best for themselves.

Its much better to spuff our natural resources into the pockets of some wealthy billionaires in line with an anti-labour stance and extreme loyalty to a flawed ideology. Otherwise we might be seen as some sort of sensible for the people type of place and that just stinks of left leaning marxism if you ask me. The same type of stuff that brings them dirty forruners here every day over the bleeding channel.

2% of Albania's male population have come to Britain illegally this year alone. Costing us £7 million per DAY. This is a country with no conflict and people coming purely for crime (Albanian Mafia basically run the UK cocaine market, the nightclub scene as well as many of the ports etc)

    https://news.sky.com/story/exponential-rise-in-albanian-migrants-crossing-the-channel-this-year-mps-told-12730745

Imagine how f*cked we'd be under a Labour government with even lighter immigration management?

Look illegal immigration has spiralled out of control.

The Conservatives have been in power for 12 years.

‘Taking control of our Borders’, the rhetoric of a failed party, who couldn’t even arrange a piss up in a Brewery.

    Hollow nonsense.

Figures released on Thursday show that just 2,380 people were forcibly returned to another country in the year to September 2021, a 35% yearly drop and the lowest number on record. In 2004 the Home Office deported 21,425 people.

So why isn’t this ‘tough talking/Lite on action’ Government sending them back to Albania?

Just to remind you Labour were in power in 2004!

The Tories have reduced the size of the Police force by several thousand.

Instead of some parallel fantasy land, wake up, smell the coffee and realise how this country has been totally messed up by the Conservatives.

We used to have an arrangement with the French where they kept them there. Since brexit that arrangement is no longer in place. Not sure how you can go about blaming labour for something you voted for.

Just remind me, which Govt negotiated the Dublin Agreement with other European states which enabled the UK to return illegal immigrants back to a European nation through which the illegal immigrant had travelled? Oh yes, that was in 2003 when Blair was the PM.

Maybe you could also remind me who cancelled our membership of the Dublin Agreement when he negotiated the Withdrawal Agreement as part if the Brexit negotiations despite being warned of the implications? Oh yes, that was Johnson when he was the PM in his rush to get Brexit done. His action now prevents the UK returning immigrants to an originating European country.

It's odd how the facts have changed so dramatically and we now have a very different storyline with the blame having been transferred from the guilty to the innocent. As you say, we've had a Govt in power for the past 12 years who wants to take no responsibilty for their actions. Instead it's all the fault of a Labour Govt, the forriners and of course the French.

No argument whatsoever from me. It is @bantamlad92@bantamlad92 who wants to play a game of ‘What If’!

The reality is immigration, in particular illegal immigration has rocketed under this Government.

The thing I find laughable about the Tories is that they are in effect a party of significant immigration!

So much hypocrisy. So many of them have family who have emigrated to this country!

Johnson - Turkish grandparent - He was an American citizen until 2017!
Sunak - Pakistani/Indian grand parents. Wife an Indian Multi Millionaire. Own parents economic migrants from Africa
Braverman - Indian/African origin. Parents economic migrants.
    Cleverly- Mother African.
Kwateng - African. Parents economic migrants.
Patel - Parents born in Africa of Indian origin, economic migrants.
    Javid- Pakistani parents, economic migrants.
    Rabb- Father was from Czechoslovakia
Henry (MP Broxtowe) - Parents West Indian. Economic Migrants
Kruger (MP Devizes) - Parents South African. Economic Migrants
Longi (MP Dudley) - Italian (lived in South Africa).
Lopresti (MP Fulton) - Italian family.
Chishiti (MP Gillingham) - Born in Pakistan
Mak (MP Havant)- Parents Chinese Economic Migrants
Afolami (MP Hitchin)-Parents African Economic Migrants
Coutinho (MP East Surrey) - Parents Indian Economic Migrants

I got fed up compiling this list! There are many more.

They look for scapegoats and try and whip up the emotions of people who just don’t want to see them for what they are.

You're missing the point, and by a country mile, Immigration is most welcome for people that can genuinely work in our economy, it's the invading criminal gangs that are the worry re our culture and security ..

Youre missing the point in that its a symptom of brexit and youre vote is the cause.

Because of Brexit, we can now no longer freely encourage people from the European Union to come to this country. Many have helped this country over centuries, develop.

We actually need people who can readily understand our culture, have a working use of English.

The hospitality sector, the care sector, construction sector, agriculture sector, financial sector, transport sector, all had a significant number of people who have come to this country.

Europeans, given the perceived rejection and in some cases hostility, are now discouraged from coming.

As for the ‘invading criminal gangs’. For Twelve years this Government has been wholly ineffective in dealing with the issue.

    They have utterly failed.

Their rhetoric is like saying ‘Booo naughty William of Normandy ’ and of course William will flee from the White Cliffs!

How often was the Dublin agreement actually used or was it one of those common EU rules that promised a lot but juts added legal fees and admin?
Didn't Germany actually cancel the agreement to it unilaterally at one point?

    Course we can. That's rubbish
What's stopping us encouraging the right people from the EU (or wherever) to come here?
