Taking back control = our government deciding who can and can't come not the EU assembly. It never meant immigration was going to stop even of Farage wanted it to, it meant higher bars of selection.

 

I think you are once again looking at the literal and not the symbolic/metaphorical. Many EU citizens dont want to fill out forms, red tape for a visa, they dont want to be treated as outsiders which is what the visa system does. They dont want to be somewhere where they are unwelcome, especially when they can just do the same work somewhere else within the EU without all the hassle.

You say that but every year thousands of people fill out forms to go live in America or Australia to go live there. It doesn't mean they are unwelcome or outsiders. If you're not willing to jump through some small admin hoops to make an enormous life change are you really committed to it anyway?

But I do agree, if they want a simple option then they can move freely within the EU in a much more simple way. Having that choice is perfectly fine for them.

Nobody treats them as outsiders here anyway, we're used to having many different nationalities come to the UK by all the usual legal means and it barely even causes any negativity, the only negativity was caused by the restrictions on who can and can't come here being imposed on us outside of or own system, rightly or wrongly.
