Sparks does't have enough "credit in the bank" to try a bold move like that. He knows he's messed up twice and has to get this one right or he's a p45 waiting to happen

 

Disagree. There is obviously a very good reason for not commenting on rumours, and we have to respect that and trust Sparks and the club to get it right and unveil the new manager at the right time

 

Anyway, regardless of manager, Congrats Morecambe! Its interesting to see, that the teams who were top of the playoff spots at the end of the season, across all leagues, all got promoted.

This is the khazi league and we are going to have 10,000 season ticket holders all paying £50 more than last season. Add our whizz kid CEO setting up commercial deals that others couldn't even dream, shedding some of our highest paid players and a clean slate, then the expectation should be that we win this league. Absolute minimum is third.

At a guess the Morecambe team including Derek Adams will celebrate along the prom in an open top bus at some point this week. Adering to Covid restrictions of course lol
But there again some would have Adams miss that.
My message to those supporters get real the guy deserves to take the plaudits along with the players and rightly so.

I'd just like to say a big thank you to the posters that have had a bit of a meltdown this week, as it has kept me thoroughly entertained whilst waiting for the official announcement.

You are right Park, and hopefully the good seasons will start with the next one. But since Rupp arrived we had a good first season, largely down to a core team built up by the previous owners and manager which has now been totally disbanded. Since then we have literally regressed both in league position and fan base every season, think it will take some time to convince people that we’re having a few successful seasons when recent history suggests otherwise.
