Ominous wording that this morning after the article yesterday

 

Is Parker just trying to create interest in a deal that’s already done?

If he gives back word, I feel we’re in a much better position to attract a decent manager than we were 7 months ago. The players released were probably the ones 90% of fans would have picked, so a great opportunity for a new man coming in.

 

At the start of last season there were only a handful of FL and PL clubs that had fallen more places than City since Rupp bought the club. Year on year City have finished lower under Rupp. I think only Scunthorpe and Wigan of clubs still in the league and still in existence can rival Rupp’s failure. That to me is a downward spiral.

I haven’t seen a clear vision from Sparks or the club, there seems to be a lot of stuff going on, but I’ve not seen a statement like championship by 202X or promotion next season. We are looming upwards, but we do at the start of every season and have ended up worse off. There’s some good stuff going on but I’ll hold my judgement on Sparks and whether the club is back on the up for another year. M

The new manager has a low base to start with but big expectations. Whoever it is isn’t guaranteed the results that will make whatever vision you have seen come to fruition. And it’s only success on the field and the league table at the end of the season that counts.

 

Anyway, regardless of manager, Congrats Morecambe! Its interesting to see, that the teams who were top of the playoff spots at the end of the season, across all leagues, all got promoted.

 

Didn't read the article as it sounds the same regurgitated article. The fact it suggests 15k support diminishes the articles credence before reading

The reason we finished SIX places lower was because of last summer when indeed we had no ambition. A lazy appointment to bring back McCall and an appalling summer transfer window when McCall was too cautious to spend up to the budget. Sparks since he took over from Rhodes has added vibrancy to the club, I’m not sure what else he can do to persuade you to think that the club has changed. Who knows what firm evidence Sparks has shown to Adams but the club is starting to turn in the right direction.

 

I'd say under Ryan who is a very ambitious CEO we are aiming for promotion this coming season Id suggest that's being ambitious.cant possibly see Morecombe being in the mix for a promotion can you.

I've given my reasons why I believe Adams would chose us rather than stay at Morecombe, he's done a great job at Morecombe without a doubt but if he stays there he could quite easily be the manager of a Morecombe team that gets relegated as I believe there are a few out of contract players, where as coming to Valley Parade and getting us promoted would be another positive on his CV.
We should know if it's Adams later this week until then it's all speculation.

The only certainty I'm getting from reading this thread is that many more of our fans than I thought probable, can't spell Morecambe.

 

Thats a smoke and mirrors Boris Johnson reply. Look exactly how they use the words. Did he say “I” don’t have a done deal. There’s a massive difference, in that way they can’t be called liars , but their terminology makes you “ hear” something else.

Fair enough, I missed that. Got to back that up with actions that enable it or it’s simply a wish list.
