Lowe - Main pic. Northern who might want to come back up north. Took Plymouth who came down with us(I think) straight back up automatically and then finshed 18th in div 1 which isn't bad for the first season back.

Wellens - Took Swindon up. Played the 4-2-3-1 but well. What was more impressive is he knew what players to suit that formation and make it attacking plus mastered the loan system in getting Doyle and Yates.

Adams - Why? Because Sparks compared us to Morecambe. If Sparks thinks Morecambe are great then go get their manager.

I think its going to be Wellens if I had to put a pound on it but any of these 3 for the reasons above.

 

Nixon linking us with Adams. I might be in the minority here but I really hope it isn't. We've had enough negative managers to last us a lifetime.

@Fools Gold please tell us its still Wellens?

 

I'm wanting it to be Wellens as well, don't see the point paying compo to Morecambe when Wellens is free and available. I prefer Wellens style of football as well.

There's noone who fills me with much enthusiasm. Most of them have been failures elsewhere.

If pressed, I'd plump for Adams, but no guarantee he'd be a success at City.

 

For all Sparks' talk on the radio of providing entertainment next season, appointing Adams would be a total contradiction.

 

Am confident on wellens . The club yesterday said plans were in place and that there was not accepting any applicants . This means a agreement is in place with someone . It’s impossible to have a agreement with Adam’s who is at a team who are in the playoffs. Paper talk I think

 

Its Derek Adams. He was primed in December (I got that from a current player) - it was all agreed but T&S happened. He is the man Sparks wanted then and the one he wants now. He is finishing off the play offs and he is ours 'apparently'. Whether he changes his mind if they get promotion is another matter.

Your best mate Alan Nixon is saying its him. He was correct on T&S getting the bullet yesterday so looks like it has legs.

 

That was my thinking too and I certainly hope so.

 

I still think it is Wellens but if it isAdams the risk is there of losing him to a better offer as they arise

 

I thought he was under contract but you obviously know better than I do. In that case I expect him to be the new manager.
