New Manager - Welcome Derek Adams

The budget will be interesting, We have at last got rid of a few very high earners which in turn will free up money to be hopefully better spent by hopefully a better manager, Our outcome next season will be set by the standards we set and our ambition.

 

I firmly believe should Morecambe be promoted they will attract more than 2000 always assuming they are not points adrift at the bottom did you think the same about Accrington,Wycombe, Fleetwood etc who have managed to make a go of it on small attendances
Please tell me where I have been critical of Mr Rupp ?? I was merely asking if he would be prepared to release funds to strengthen the club, bit odd to say that's being critical !!! Personally I shudder to think what would have happened with Mr Rhodes at the helm all of last season
Not too sure what you class as potential at Bradford City unless it's fulfilled it means nothing (to qualify I am not being negative there)
I do however agree this is one of the most important managerial appointments in the club's history and needs to be the right option for all our sakes whether that be Adams or not

 

We were never in for him. It was Adams in December and it is Adams now. Hes the man, he is coming.

You are right Park, and hopefully the good seasons will start with the next one. But since Rupp arrived we had a good first season, largely down to a core team built up by the previous owners and manager which has now been totally disbanded. Since then we have literally regressed both in league position and fan base every season, think it will take some time to convince people that we’re having a few successful seasons when recent history suggests otherwise.

 

Im talking about Adams. Thats who Sparks wanted in December. Thats who was primed to come in. He was pretty much the only target according to a senior player...

 

Very true. There's nothing in football that a couple of good seasons dont put right.

Wellens appointed Doncaster manager today per BBC website.

 

The way I see it there are four possible outcomes now:

1. Adams is the man and he comes, happy days.
2. Adams is the man and he doesn't come because Morecambe retain him, cue frenzied activity, world war three on here, calls for the sacking of Sparks, and potentially a wasted season next year due to the delays in recruitment caused by this.
3. It's not Adams and our reaction is WOW !!!
4. It's not Adams and our reaction is MEH !!!!

Knowing BCFC well, my money is on 2. but hoping it's either 1. or 3.

Well that's true. But the flip side is, 2 bad seasons could kill this club. And more to the point, we don't have anyone at the club who's been involved in delivering 1, let alone 2 good seasons for this football club.
