Yes @bailiff bridge bantam beat me to it. I didn't realise the Don had a good long throw in his locker when he's played against us in the past I cant remember him using it, some say dark age football but throwing a football into the penalty area at times can be more accurate than corners ETC.

Cheltenham seemed to build a big part of their game round it and look where they are.

Marco Bielsa rarely stays at a club for longer than he has been at L**ds. Perhaps he's the one.

I watched the Torquay v Halifax a couple of months ago and yes City would have struggled against either side..

The centre back, who played for Tranmere Rovers held the world record for the longest throw in football. This was 152 feet (46.34 meters) in a special challenge set-up at Prenton Park in 1998.
    That's some throw.

I've said this before but when we signed Lee Sinnott I'm sure I read/heard that he held some kind of record for a long throw......If so....I'm sure it was never used as a weapon for us.

It didn’t matter where the ball went out for a throw either. He took the throw from the gap created for him in the hoardings as this usually landed the ball right in the middle of the box.

He's going to Spurs, surely? Mourinho to sign for the Claret and Amber, no?

It's all heresay who will be our next manager
We can say who it won't be but not who it will be
Adams seems firm favourite but I would have thought he would want to chance his arm in a higher league
Quite some achievement if he got Morecambe up and kept them up (not impossible) his "stock" would increase dramatically
When the final announcement is made its probably someone we never even thought of
Just wish it would be announced sooner rather than later

It seems like an age since T & S moved aside,we don't even know what roles they have been offered.
Frustrating season on the field and now the wait for our new manager.
No betting available even to distract our attention just speculation fuelled by media hacks.
I'm with you but I should know better we never take the easy route with anything.

Well it looks like it’s going to be at least another week and possibly another fortnight before any news

I’m sure we’ll find out who our manager is a week tomorrow or two weeks on Tuesday when Morecambes play off games are finished.

Can anyone honestly see Adam coming here if Morecambe go up? I can’t see it myself at all.

We know who we want, he wants to come to us - we just have to hang in there and rest assured a lot is going on behind the scenes in readiness for all the aspects we need to address in prep for next season (still not certain it is Adams!)

    Me neither
Why would he drop a division to manage us when he can match himself up with a few bigger clubs in L1
no guarantees we will get promoted next season ,,!!!!
Should he take them up and stay with them we could have to start the whole recruitment process again
Either way not a great position for either club to be in
Personally don't think Adams is the name on the list think it will be someone no one has even mentioned

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be Michael Flynn as our new manager.

Exeter Chiefs might disagree with your description of Devon, and Ollie Watkins and Ethan Ampadu both came through Exeter City’s academy.

It’s a fair point on attracting players though, I think it’s why Sunderland and to some extent Newcastle had to pay way over the odds

Some good points there especially around expectations here. He won't come, that's for certain but given our expectations I would have Parkinson and his crew, Parkin, Allanby and Lee Butler back in a breath. Sparks should ask Stefan Rupp to give Parky a call saying things are different now and he would have no interference from above.I
The thing about Parkinson is that that you know what you are getting and more importantly the players know what is expected of them.
The problem is that his Sunderland payoff may bar him from applying for a job at the moment.
