Not my view but, ‘According to initial investigations, the suggested rail link is likely to be "technically feasible"! https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/latest-news/railway-link-across-city-would-be-possible-at-cost-of-163-140m-1-3053806

Why if Mr Rupp is a business man and if he wants to move this club forward then one of the things he would be doing is investigating moving from VP and getting our own training ground or at least buying VP. He might be doing just that for all we know.

Bradford City is a sleeping giant. Just need an owner or owners that want to wake it up.

Of all the things you can call Bradford City, sleeping giant isn’t one of them.

    Sleeping giant nonsense.
First job is keeping us in a very tough league two next season, with 16 contracted crap at the club

We have never been a giant Fordy, sleeping or otherwise. When did you start watching City, 1999 - 2000 season in the Premier League?

The fact we are tied to a lease at VP for "a few more years" is not an issue as it will take many years to plan, get approval and build any new stadium. What we should be doing is looking at it now for where we want to be, location wise, in 10 years. Those plans need to be looked at now.

But wouldn't the point be that there wouldn't be two stations? Just one somewhere in the middle which would be raised (much as Leeds is)

True and fair to say that some need to heed a wake up call.

Right, so who would fund a new built stadium?

We're we bothering watching Bradford City?

Seems like most fans on here lack ambition and drive.

It's no shock the club is where it is at the moment. Fans have low standards.

We have been sleeping for a long, long time Fordy with only a short period fully awake or when we were dozing off! Sleeping, yes. Giant? Well, I have serious doubts about that part of your description.

Let's look at the facts. In the past 60 years, we've been in the 3rd or 4th tiers for 48 of them! We've flirted with the 2nd tier in 10 of those years and of course in the top tier for 2 years. But having spent three-quarters of our recent history in the bottom two tiers says a lot about our club. That's the reality of the sleeping giant you refer to. Unfortunately, it will take a lot more than a different owner to wake us up from our current slumbers. It will require a complete change in our approach and I don't imagine that will happen in the near future.

Repeating yourself ad nauseam will not change the facts :)

Can't fathom your response other than trying to score easy points.

Clearly I don't know the answer.

As part of a feasibility review of any project of this nature the funding of the build and ongoing costs forms part of the viability study.

You are looking at it from a 'Sugar Daddy' stand point. A single person pouring in millions but that is not how it, in the main, works.

Businesses such as BCFC looking to grow or move engage early with banks, investors, retail, hotel chains, restaurants etc etc etc along with local, regional and central government. The whole project might be financed over 20, 30 or more years.

So the lack of a single money man should not stop BCFC from reviewing the options. Which I believe they should be not for next year or the year after but for 10 years down the line. Where do they want to be? In a poor stadium (it will be even more so by then), in a part of the city that no one wants to go to, with zero outside of football use and lacking the pre and post game activities other than places to consume alcohol (the need to attract and keep families spending money in and around the ground is a major consideration)

Our current location and set up does not set us up for the future it is, I would suggest, holding us back.
