Well, based on the fact we are tied into a lease for another 9yrs and haven’t got the finance to move out and build another stadia elsewhere, I think it’s all irrelevant

We, as a club, do need a long term plan, however while we have a short term owner the plan will never be longer that 10 months.
Facts are the council will never support the club. They cancel events outside the city centre due to “lack of funds” yet pet projects secured no problem. They found £3.1 m for a 1.4 mile cycle path some how. They wasted the LBA windfall on a pond, that is now broken. Leeds built a world class arena for the same money! How much has been wasted on the tip at Odsal?
If the club is to progress it needs to do it off its own back and that needs a leader/owner with true vision & the nouse to secure funding. I’m afraid that isn’t Rhodes & Rupp...Inspector, Gardscoigne, Jayteebee and 6 others like this. -

I wonder where BSA Bantam thinks we are going to get the money from to finance a new ground, be interesting to hear his views on that before conducting a pointless poll

We should have a ten year plan.
We have a stadium capable of Championship football, which holds 25,000.
We have not outgrown this stadium.
The requirement for a new stadium will coincide with outgrowing VP.
Is that likely?
Only with massive investment on the pitch - at which time we will have an owner wealthy enough to consider building a new stadium anyway, if let's say we can double our attendance.
Otherwise, what is the point?rmbenson007, FrenchBantam and BoingBoing like this. -
So either this is just a discussion for discussion sake or where is the money coming from?
If it is the former can I vote for a forward think solution. It would be a floating stadium with the ability to fly around at light speed to collect all fans from their home within seconds before hovering over City Hall for the actual game.FrenchBantam, BoingBoing and JonButterfield like this. -

I don't think VP has any positives apart from it's big enough for the club to make good from big games.
It's in the wrong location and its been getting ever more "wrong" for 40 years, nobody would build it there today. The ST WOAP fanbase location article showed that they were predominantly from North Bradford.
That's where Jack Tordoff wanted to move to after the fire, and he was correct. Too late now unless something, miraculously happens on the South side at Odsal.
Every time this pops up, posters say there is nowhere to build a ground in Bradford "Can't do Bradfud" again....even tiny places find space for new grounds, but Bradford, nope, can't be doneGardscoigne, Bronco and Rogered Tart like this. -

Brighton have a great stadium cost 140 million ish, it cost a shed load to run and can only be funded in the premiere league. It's out of town which is the biggest b/ache of all. I would love to go back to the old stadium personally, our new premier fans wouldn't be that keen though. Buying back VP is that an option?

They could have built the rail link between the Interchange and Forster Square, had a stadium incorporating shops, offices, conference facilities and parking....... but this is Bradford and the council have no vision.
They let the old Avenue ground go!
As they own the other great hole in South Bradford (which could have been sold for housing and/or commercial development), they have little vision and zero aspiration.
