Something needed doing being cynical I do agree up to a point, he was a man up to his neck in quicksand.
Will the same set of rules apply to Hughes i.e. his player budget is based on season ticket sales or has part of the deal to bring Sparkie in (he won't be cheap) been Rupp will provide extra money to have a real go next season, one right out of the Blue Moon exciting signing without doubt.

That statement along with many others, is why the guy appeared to be out of his depth. He just did not understand Bradford city, its fans and made no attempt to connect.
Hopefully i will start to enjoy my football fix again. its meant to be a pleasure not a chore done out of loyalty.

It's his choice not sure its a blame game, it was not my reason for posting if we cant take a little positivity from this signing then were really in a bad way, but @Faithful Bantam@Faithful Bantam has replied with his reasons for his comments.
Time will tell if its the correct decision for both parties, but if nothing else its brightened my day up just reading we have brought in a tried and tested footballer/manager into the club that not one poster suggested as a potential candidate and that for me is a positive appointment.

Maybe Ryan has seen the fans reaction, not merely in social media but the drop off in home attendances and has told Rupp this could be the last chance saloon with regards big season ticket take ups and ultimately what that could mean for the club and his investment going forward.

Just listened to the six minute segment of his presser.
Still can’t believe Mark (Sparks) has pulled this off ;-)

I haven’t seen anything to suggest Daly is better than Cooke. Absolutely nothing. Has anyone???!

That looked like a Trueman team today didn’t it. Hughes will barely know their names yet after three days

Not totally sure, to be honest.

It speaks volumes that his biggest impact at Hartlepool, and most of his goals, were scored in the nonsense JPT cup.

I've still been very disappointed in him, why he's getting picked ahead of Cooke I've no idea. Callum hasn't had a good season by any means, but he's better on the ball than Daly, who looks lost in our current set up.

Well for what it's worth I've just moved out of Blackburn having lived there 17yrs over to Cliviger on outskirts of Burnley jus over the Motherland border :) my wifes from Blackburn and all our family on her side are big Rovers fans, I work with and have loads of friends who are Rovers so I end up regularly involved in conversations about them, and I can safely say I've not heard MH name mentioned once apart from on here.

Please stop all this talk about Hughes leaving and stop panicking!
Hughes will go nowhere, he's here for a long time yet, hell he's building something here that he will want to see through.
Only when his contracts up can we start this scare mongering - calm down!!!!!

As much as i am not happy with Mr Hughes and the home form, we have to stop this manager bingo and give someone more than a season. If we miss out on promotion this season and i think we will probably lose in the playoff's , we have to stick with him . For the foreseeable future. If come December we are no better, maybe then roll the dice. We are not that far off being a reasonable team.

Assume this is a wind up. I would keep Hughes next season, even if we don’t go up. Some stability would be nice after the recent years of hiring and firing with no success. Hughes has his faults (as do all) but overall I think he’s done a decent job of rebuilding the squad and getting us into a the fight for top 3. If we don’t go up this season I’d be confident he’d do it next season.

When Cook leaves for Wrexham we can’t help but think this season was our best chance of promotion - with a 30-goal striker - and we blew it. Big time.

It doesn't. But to do it effectively you need a mobile midfield who take up good positions quickly, get themselves unmarked and are therefore available for the back four to pass to. What so often happens is that our back four are forced to keep making the square passes, or play the tight ball up the touchline, or just hoof it long, because Gilliead and Smallwood aren't canny enough to get into good positions quickly enough. When Clayton was anchoring the midfield we saw a reduction in the square passing and an increase in good passing through the channels, because he knows what he's doing there.

I wasn't Hughes Out at all and thought our demise all season was that our squad lacked pace and talent

But that Banks/Platt decision is so woeful, it's inexcusable. It indicates there's something wrong with his brain.

We needed another goal to win it, we've just scored so the momentum is with us, and you take off your talisman winger for a centreback? Indicates the plan is to settle for penalties (absolute cowardice after you've just scored an equaliser), and then why wouldn't you want Banks on the pitch for that?

It'd be like France going for a winner in a WC Semi and taking off Mbappe after he's scored, for Konate....against Greece

What is annoying is he could never be accused of being a coward in his playing days, but why would you take a player who has just created the goal to get you back in the tie off and replace him with a central defender, it make no sense, I'd like to know Hughes thinking behind this, terrible call although that wasn't the reason we lost over the two legs and to be honest throwing many games away during the season.
