And we're probably still paying most of Adams wages, whilst he's Manager of Morecambe.

Can you blame him Bronco the club too long has been about rhetoric rather than substance. The club needs a good working infrastructure to support managers/coaches, recruitment - talk is cheap as they say and there has ben lots over the last 3 seasons.

Yes,but all it can be today is talk - so for now we should at least have a little extra spring in our step!

Not saying we have not - but many had when Adams was appointed too. I do not think being a little cautious is a negative thing given our recent record - proof will be in the eating of the pudding - yet to happen.

I’d love to hear Adams’ thoughts on this. All this nonsense about ‘managers talk’, suggesting we’d never get a big name. ‘You wont get anyone better than me’ etc. lol, Derek.

You seem to forget that a legend, which Hughes is, is more likely to attract better playerrs.

As we’ve had one of the best budgets since we got relegated (and let’s not forget that it was Top 6 when we did) that means we have a greater chance of getting players that fit.

I fail to see how you can apply a managerial record for The Premiership and simply apply to L2 and come out with your negative sweeping statements.

It’s a bit like saying that Chris Wood is a wrong for scoring goals for us, because he’s not prolific at the very top.

To me. If we’re not getting McCann, this is next best and certainly better than the grossly overrated Wellens, who let’s remember got promoted on a part season.

Here's one for you Park. Start a book on how many injuries will heal for Swindon next week. Just a thought.

That statement along with many others, is why the guy appeared to be out of his depth. He just did not understand Bradford city, its fans and made no attempt to connect.
Hopefully i will start to enjoy my football fix again. its meant to be a pleasure not a chore done out of loyalty.

Wow was my reaction when I saw the news. Can’t say that it’s a guarantee for success but he’s spent all of his career at the top, must count for something. I didn’t realise he had been out of management since 2018 though!

    Is this absolutely true though?

In terms of names, the biggest I can remember are Andrew Davies (Championship player coming to League Two) and Jacob Butterfield (wasn't he on Premier League wages when we signed him on loan), and they didn't come specifically for a manager.

The biggest names we had as managers are Bryan Robson and Peter Taylor, and who did they bring in that was a massive coup?

Hopefully, even if he can't bring in silly signings, he's able to recruit a couple of Premier League loanees.

Southampton in particular have a cracking youth system, and if he's not popular there, I'm sure even Blackburn in the Championship have some good youngsters.

But big names? Not sure about that, mate.

Nope. I was only missing THIS saturday due to a massive Pee Up, which has now had it's location and time changed to post match. I will be there on Saturday (and Swindon) bigging up the BIGGEST name manager we have ever appointed. And that includes Cheery/ Yorath & McFarland.

This is a very exciting opportunity. There is no way he has taken this job without significant assurances that he will be given the tools to succeed (and they have only come from the man at the top) otherwise he knows for a fact that his career in management is finished.

Good record too. He was one of my favourites late 60’s/ 70’s
