What is annoying is he could never be accused of being a coward in his playing days, but why would you take a player who has just created the goal to get you back in the tie off and replace him with a central defender, it make no sense, I'd like to know Hughes thinking behind this, terrible call although that wasn't the reason we lost over the two legs and to be honest throwing many games away during the season.

I heard a couple of weeks ago from a former City player I know that Hughes wouldn't stay if we don't go up. Let's see shall we.

I'll be surprised if he leaves but I hope you're right. Each summer I think this must be Bradford City's season but if he stays I won't be backing you ante-post 23-24.

    Hughes out.

Knee jerk or not my mind was made up when he brought Platt on for Banks just as we got back into the game.

A one goal lead going up to Carlisle and it was clear from minute one that he was happy with the lottery of a shoot out.

Compare that to Simpson who was positive from the off and we absolutely got our just deserts.

Just a safety first merchant isn’t he Broncs!

he would have been thrilled to take it to pens and enter the lottery - then he could just blame the randomness of shootouts had we not won.

if we had won he’d have been delighted with a cagey display in the final to rough it out for a draw and chance of ET and pens again.

We made Carlisle City Rejects look like Man City over BOTH legs. Come on Hughes. Your players, your tactics, absolute garbage. Yet another zonal marking failure from a cross. He hasn’t a clue yet “it’s my way” whilst I’m here. Well do one, because the tripe we have served up this season has been dire and any other manager would have been sacked by now. And yes, I’m bloody angry. :D

All he has done is reconnect the club with the fans because of his name. He’s shown why he’s never won anything and had loads of clubs. It’s pretty clear how you need to play and the type of players you need, but he says “it’s my way”

Hughes out after that performance today. Sick of his negative tactics and subbing banks for platt is unforgivable

Just listening to West Yorkshire Sports Daily they are talking Andy Cook, no matter what happens now we must nail Cook down with a new contract, we won't find another striker who will score goals on a more constant level, even accepting Cook won't repeat what he's done this season, God help us if we have to rely on the likes of Oliver and Co.
Let's be honest we've glossed over our actual poor football (me included) by commenting its all about results, and Hughes has kept us within striking distance of a play off and even an auto at one time taking a lot of flack off of Hughes, but looking back we've known as a team we have not put any sort of consistent attacking performances together even accepting our position in the table, the team has been built around making us difficult to beat at the expense of not having the players with the ability to get us back in a game we are losing, yet we saw today when we have that player Mark Hughes said on WYSD Banks was flagging and he wanted to shore us up defensively so once again we encouraged Carlisle to come at us a minute after getting back into the game that must have knocked Carlisle's confidence, as up to the extra time interval there was only one team going to win it.
So once again we find ourselves having to battle again in the kahzi league which looks like it will be even stronger with the likes of Wrexham and Notts County.

The set up is all wrong, and that’s forever been the issue. Too many deep lying slow players, then not enough guile, width or pace up the pitch.

hughes shows no sign of switching system and likes to accept the limitations of it to keep things tight.

Well if that is the case, as a club we couldn't offer much more he had a good budget were given to believe and he brought in players who it was obvious to most fans were a risk shall we say and weren't even league one level, he's been given a free reign with regards football matters, so would that suggest he believes he's failed because he really cant blame the players who've joined the club under his management.
I don't want him to go purely because I don't think the managerial merry go round helps the club but to say I'm disappointed with how this season has panned out is an understatement, IMO we as a club should have don't much better.
