Hughes went public saying "he would have walked away" from the job after a few weeks if he felt he still didn't have the enthusiasm for management. But that wasn't the case as he was really enjoying it. If he told Sparks that in the interview and was still given the job it's a terrible indictment of the amateurish way this club is being run.

Sacking MH should not even be considered imo, yes he's probably made many mistakes along the way and could more than likely fail at getting us promoted this season, but where has hiring and firing quickly got us? I'm more than happy for us to try out the longer game strategy for a change. And after all even if we fail this season despite all our disappointment we can definitely look upon this season as progression.

Assume this is a wind up. I would keep Hughes next season, even if we don’t go up. Some stability would be nice after the recent years of hiring and firing with no success. Hughes has his faults (as do all) but overall I think he’s done a decent job of rebuilding the squad and getting us into a the fight for top 3. If we don’t go up this season I’d be confident he’d do it next season.

Another sensible post within a quite absurdly ridiculous thread. In fact, could argue we’re as daft wasting our time reading and contributing to it!!

Firing McCall in the 17-18 season when in the playoffs went well didn’t it?

    Close thread perhaps?

    Crawley beat Rochdale yesterday.

We couldn't... That how badly the team has been managed. We're bloody lucky to be so high in the table.

Hughes can make a reasonable season into a very good one by getting an automatic spot. Top 3 places all up for grab.

An auto place is still possible and if we don't get it we've only have ourselves to blame, I think everyone knows our achiiles heel is our poor home record we had a great chance to put pressure on other teams above us but failed to take advantage of the likes of Rochdale, Barrow, Hartlepool and Carlisle but hey it nothing new to Bradford City is it we love doing stuff the hard way.

We've done the double on both Salford and Stevenage, doubt anyone else has.

I think this guy sits behind me at city. Same opinions, same lack of realism.

Half way through the second half on Tuesday. "SACK THE MANAGER", "TAXI FOR HUGHES". We were sat there watching a team push for a win, hit the cross bar and peg back a top 3 team. Yet this plonker is shouting how we need to get some real footballers on the pitch.

5,262 ST sold, around four weeks until the early bird deadline.

For all there is usually a mad rush at the end, we could really do with pulling our finger out at home to boost those numbers.

Not sure what this is actually doing in this thread which as a previous poster has said must surely be closed down as a total waste of space.

ST sales are marker of fans (lack of) support for the manager.

The product we serve up at home isn’t good enough and its our fantastic away form that has got us as high as we have been

I have no problem with our away form, it is measured and usually gets what is needed, but there is absolutely no excuse for the first 45 minutes at home pratting about with goal kicks and passing around sideways and backwards until we are desperate to score to get in front or recover from going behind, for a manager with the experience of MH it really shouldn't be that difficult to work out whats going wrong...

I agree Tony. Its awful watching us at home. Sick of it, but, like a mug, I keep turning up only to be disappointed.

Ive just renewed our STs so the club have my cash, but wish he’d grow a pair of balls and sort out this wretched home form by attacking.

those short goal kicks are pathetic. We invite pressure on ourselves.

Do you really believe the club , would have employed Mark Hughes , if in his interview , he said ,if i am not happy i will walk away in a few weeks. It amazes me how some so called supporters, will try and find ways to do the club down.

A Spurs fan comment on their managerial merry-go-round!

I've been a Spurs fan for 45 years now, and can honestly say I'm past caring who the new manager is. I'm done getting excited and hopeful, nothing will change.

It's the hope that kills you... and as a Spurs fan, I've learned that a pessimist is never disappointed.

Whoever comes in, I wish them well.

Spurs who currently sit fourth in the Premiership!

Yes I do 100% believe it to be possible. In terms of previous actions at the University of Bradford stadium I argue it's a justified concern.
