Remembrance day is in memory of those who gave their lives for the sake of the freedoms we have enjoyed since, The march could be on any other time but was chosen for maximum publicity, The organisers and marchers are scum and anti this country and a free democracy defiling the memory of those who died for them

I feel this weekend could be a huge moment for the country going forward due to the highly disrespectful march. If there is trouble which I think is highly likely, it could mean we enter a new phase of Islamic terrorism and far right extremism which in turn by trying not to sound too dramatic a civil war down the line. However with what the media says ‘far right’ means putting a Union Jack flag in your garden. It really is a sad state of affairs, we have been a tolerant country for far too long, and the silent majority have had enough. The people we have let in and sought sanctuary here have stuck their proverbial two finger's up in our face. Strong leadership needed quickly.

You could tell them shit tastes like chocolate and they'd eat it. Very few forward thinking people these days, merely sheep following the latest Instagram fad.

This will make you laugh. My brother in law, a Holmewood native, left school with knack all (found later he was offered a scholarship at Woodhouse grove but that's another story). But after a chequered career culminating in graduating from Durham University (where my lad currently is, yes i'm very a very proud dad) he now teaches at a grammar school in Buckinghamshire and makes a killing private tutoring kids to get them into grammar schools. Now he understands how the world works he tells me he wouldn't vote labour if you paid him.

Far easier to arrest the one protester, than try and pull a couple of Hamas jihadi calling protesters, I give you free speech, our brave forefathers who forfeited their lives in past wars to allow these people to protest and chant the vile stuff they do must be turning in their graves.

The whole lot of the Free Palestine protesters should do one and bugger off to Palestine and fight their cause over there.

Of course they won't, because they are all cowards who know they are far better off living in a too tolerant country such as ours while they get away with espousing their vile anti-semitic views and supporting terrorist groups such as Hamas and Houthi.

'Much of that is due to the Jews themselves', funny cos Hitler spent over a decade telling his fellow countryman that. My wife lost two members of her family in a certain camp with this sort of rhetoric.

People no longer believe in the Greek or Norse Gods which gives me hope for the future. A day when people aren't out raping and murdering in the name of fictitious entities is a day I greatly look forward to.

That's just life these days though isn't it? People handing out labels to anyone who dares challenge them as a tactic to silence them.

Racist, sexist, islamaphobic, transphobic, antisemite and many more are now just words that have lost all meaning and their only use is to try and shut down discussion around the given topics.

What should be happening is people fighting back against the current 'cancel culture' and, backed by a strong government (I won't hold my breath!) feel like constructive discussions around any given issue can take place without worrying what the perma offended in society think.

It'll never happen, politics is now just school ground bullying and willy waving so society will go on divided and unwilling to openly and honestly discuss the important topics simply in the fear of picking up one or more of the tags above.

Apologies to the OP for going slightly off topic but it is all linked in a vague way.

That was exactly my point. Israel is here and has a perfectly valid right to exist as a country but Simon's wording seemed to question that.

Why on earth should any established country (not a state) have to "justify their existence"?

Those types of phrases, like it or not, are straight out of the Adolf Hitler playbook!

It also feels like there's no balance in your post either though, even blaming Israel solely for not engaging in a two state solution.

For the record, I agree with much of the criticism of Israels politics and I certainly agree with the current criticism of how they are indiscriminately bombing Palestine but I simply can't agree with Simon's wording and your rhetoric that seems to read as Israel always being the root cause.

Hamas won't release the hostages so Israel will continue the bombardment and Hamas will use that as an excuse not to release the hostages ....... And so on, and so on is my guess.

Hypocrisy in the highest degree UK and America and many western countries calling for a cease fire whilst selling them arms, very similar to Iran arming Hamas and the Houthi rebels, we live in a very sad world where human life means little or nothing.

Excellent point Dave, everyone loves taking the moral highground when it suits them but cross their palms with lovely silver and gold and they'll do full about turn.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, last night's attack by Iran is proof that we need to continue to help fund Israel for weapons to defend itself.

Good to see the RAF help shoot Iranian drones out of the sky last night too.

A further demonstration that the ideology in that region is hellbent on Israel's destruction.

It's a very worrying escalation, because Israel and its allies will have to deliver some sort of response.

Spot on. And Iran has been. The puppetmaster for pretty much all of what the likes of Hamas and Youthis have been doing in the region. Openly attacking is a new line being crossed though. It seriously complicates matters, not least because the US and its allies can't afford for Iran to be emboldened.

This is increasingly turning into an ideological Islam v the West conflict. And the extent to which Islam is integrated into much of Europe could mean we're walking into a very, very dark time.
