My take is that this planet will never find peace until all religions are debunked, should teach all the kids of the world astronomy and what really is out there .......

 

No i don't think its right what Israel are doing but then i don't go on the streets enthusiastically waving the flag of Israel when an apparent atrocity is carried out on the West Bank. I don't want to see labour MPs banging the Palestinian drum as much as i don't want to see Tories backing the Israeli regime.
I live a very simple life, i have no religion in my life and have little interest in the liars and cheats of politics. I'm sick of this idea of having to take sides or people trying to play top trumps in how someones argument is morally more upstanding than others.

 

What's the betting no MP or Councillor in Bradford call this out, the T&A completely ignore it and we all just pretend this isn't happening on our doorstep.

 

My dad fought in the Second World War, Including D-Day plus 6 he would have been 20 at the time.

My granddad fought in the First World War in fact he was a prisoner of war at 14 years old, he was a big lad.

I don’t want anybody desecrating their memories, whether they are foolish idiots or not.

 

It’s absolutely a very complex situation. If you parachute a new nation state onto a territory that has been inhabited by a set of people for a thousand years then it’s bound to cause resentments. But I’m not denying the right of the Israeli state to exist, nor minimising the vulnerability they feel, surrounded as they are by countries they perceive as hostile to them.
But, unfortunately, Israel has been governed for years by a hardline government that is reliant on even more hardline orthodox Jewish groups who have extreme views about Jewish destiny based on their fundamentalist reading of certain scriptures. So those people who condemn Muslims for their support for Palestine need to also acknowledge the religious bigotry that is fuelling illegal Israeli expansionism and driving ordinary innocent Palestians out of their homes.

I think it’s analogous to the Irish situation. I’ve always believed that there should be a united Ireland, but that doesn’t mean that I supported IRA violence. Likewise, I believe in the right of Palestinians to live in peace in their own territory without being bulldozed out by militant Israelis. But that doesn’t mean I support Hamas blowing up innocent Jews.

 

Football fans are an easy target no matter what they had done. I find it just as abhorrent that folk have gone on to the streets of the United Kingdom to try and raise the levels of racial tension by openly displaying their joy at the murdering of innocent people. Imagine if the so called labelled 'far right' had gone on the streets waving the flag of Israel in celebration of the deaths of innocent Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli forces? We'd have had every available police officer in this country on patrol in riot gear. All this bullshit about religions of peace and how they bring us together, all they do is cause conflict.

 

That doesn't stop social media being one massive playground where folk play atrocity top trumps. Currently Israel are the bad guys for 'allegedly' hitting a hospital with bombs killing hundreds, yet only last week 100s of innocent Israelis were butchered in their own communities by people on the side backed by the same people denouncing Israel. Fascinating to watch but ultimately quite sad that even massacres of war are used to score moral high ground points. Both sides of the argument are hell bent on killing the other, religion dictates the need to hate.

 

That's the top and bottom of this, religion the scourge of civilisation ...

 

Most of those waving the flags in Bradford have no idea where palestine even is let alone the history behind the decades old conflict. All about taking sides innit bro.

 

That's what happens when you don't just allow anyone and everyone in from all faiths and backgrounds creating a completely unidentifiable circus-like society guised under the false pretence of joyful 'multiculturalism' - when in reality all it does is divide further

 

Just like a few months ago in Keighley with the council leader and the rainbow flag saga. Like i alluded to earlier this backlash against Israel is a smokescreen in this country for Islam to stand up against the West and its beliefs.

 

Yes, remember the fallen, but also consider that too little is being done for those ex servicemen who are homeless, in prison and suffering from PTSD.

 

The culture war has been going for years, and it wasn't started by Braverman or the Tories. She's one of few politicians speaking common sense, and I'd imagine if you're a jew in the UK it's a rare source of comfort having a Home Secretary speaking out against those who want to eradicate you.

 

Grievances ffs there were 1.200+ Israelis going about their business and were massacred on 7th October and you put it down to grievances, give your head a shake.

 

Just seen an interesting comment, two football fans were arrested for shoing an image of Bradley Lowery at the Sheffield Wednesday Sunderland game yet we see cars allowed to celebrate acts of violence and depravity by displaying the flag of Palestine on the streets of this country. I have no dog in the fight to be fair, both sides are as bad as each other, but the way certain communities in this country celebrate this murder of innocent people makes me sick.
