Just like a few months ago in Keighley with the council leader and the rainbow flag saga. Like i alluded to earlier this backlash against Israel is a smokescreen in this country for Islam to stand up against the West and its beliefs.

 

I'll wait and see what happens. If and it's a big if, anything does happen, I fear the problems it brings with it are irreversible.

 

100%. Cities with large muslim populations are a tinder box. Emotions are becoming, very, very heated and the vast majority of the non-muslim population are passive when it comes to these things. But if these protests and demonstrations start to become more physical and widespread, it'll take very little to lead us down the path of mass civil unrest.

 

Theres a potential uprising amongst that population and the police have neither the means nor the desire to deal with it. Never seen our society more divided than it is now.

 

Why should it come as a suprise both past and the present governments have allowed immigration to get to its present situation, this is not the economic/illegal immigrants who are crossing the channel but through legal channels over the decades.

 

Looks like Elon has just lit the blue touch paper on twitter. Allowed the account of Tommy Robinson back on his platform. Never a dull day on twitter.

 

It was never anything to do with asylum seeking or persecution. It was the systematic migration of young predominantly Muslim men into Western society on a scale never seen before. Only Poland and Hungary stood against it.

 

Much of it is underpinned by religion, but the division is caused by a flawed and enforced ideology that blurs the concept of 'multiculturalism' and equality v equity.

 

Up to the last few years of her life mum always went down to pay her respects at the Cenataph, if for nothing else I would hope the Bradford Council and Bradford Police have made contingency plans for a protest with regards Israel.

 

The Poland/Hungary situation with regards taking their share of immigrants is a relatively new our situation has been going on since the 50s, apparently forgein students can bring relatives over how does that work.
Maybe Durham University have a spare room for you and your lass when you want to pop up for a weekend with your lad.

 

I would like to think most people are intelligent enough to see that what the authorities want to see happen is disorder next week. It takes.the focus away from what is really happening in this country. Just walked past the arches at Forster Square, a lot of folk sleeping rough coming up to winter. Shame they can't get into that lovely warm hotel by the interchange, seemed very busy when I last walked past after the football.....

 

Every bit of the discourse is just another ratchet of division. Its as if we've lost the ability to hold civil conversation, with plenty of common sense and genuine tolerance. I'm going on a tangent here, but for goodness sake we're living in an age where our politicians and public figures can't explain or define what a woman is. And yet I guarantee that 99% of those people know exactly how to describe what a woman is. Why do I mention that? Because its symptomatic of why we're becoming more divided and unable to communicate. Society breaks down when it loses its ability to think and communicate critically. There are genuinely complex problems for the world to solve, and not only will we fail to do that by simply shouting and literally shooting each other down, we're manufacturing complex problems needlessly!

 

Difference is we are not as organised, or have the same mindset, we quite rightly would rather be at the footie or down the pub, on Tiktok or watching love island etc,
Getting on with our lives with little or any thought about the futility of being under religious control ..

 

A very good post. The problem we have three days is the minority control the narrative on social media. I guarantee you, the vast, vast majority of folk on this planet just want to get on and go about their daily business without fear of being persecuted or blown up. Just like the poor sods on Gaza or the people in Ukraine, ask them what they want out of life and it will be that their loved ones get to live a loving and purposeful life. And that mean a normal family life away from the vile scum of society.

 

Its a very different mindset. Western culture is generally centered around materialism, and a much smaller world of family and friends. If our little worlds aren't obviously threatened, we just crack on. We'll have a whinge, but we're passive. In the muslim world, there's a much bigger sense of being part of a muslim family that's 2 billion strong. And there's a much greater sense of activism behind it.

 

And of course, their ultimate aim is world domination, imagine that ....
Remember these poor buggers are born in to their religion and unlike us don't have the choice to opt out....

 

Most religions tried it over the centuries. Like Christianity trying to spread it's message to far flung places like Australia and the South sea Islands. I read a good piece about how homosexuality was practiced on the islands years ago until the 'discoverers' came and told them through religion via the pastor's that it was wrong. Read that after Manly's polynesian contingent of players refused to wear the 'rainbow' inspired rugby shirt for a game.

 

Bringing this back to the conflict 10.000 lives have been lost so far. The animals that started all this are beyond contempt but someone has got to intervene to stop the slaughter.
What the hell is the UN for use the organisation to do whatever is required to get the hostages back and to stop the slaughter.

 

So are you suggesting we send in our military to keep the two sides apart?

 

Good lord no. There’s no obvious or easy solution. The death will continue, and escalate further. I don’t see either side stepping back.
