So which bits of the Netanyahu critique, written by an American Jewish journalist, not a Guardian staffer, are incorrect then?

The bit where he encouraged the growth of Hamas, and openly bragged about it?

The bit where he ludicrously believed he could ‘contain’ the threat from the murderous terrorist organisation that he encouraged?

The bit where he moved most of the Israeli army to the West Bank, leaving kibutzniks in Israel defenceless?

The bit where he packed his government full of incompetent militant religious fanatics?

The bit where he tried to destroy the nuetrality of the legal system in order to keep himself in power and head off the corruption charges that will inevitably follow once he’s voted out of power?

The bit where he has for decades actively undermined every attempt to work towards a two state solution, which is the only possible hope for any lasting peace?

Please do tell - which of these things is incorrect?

Instead of just carping and making spurious claims about bias, please feel free to link some alternative serious article/analysis that provides a different perspective on Netanyahu’s history in power. Because, so far, all you are doing is the equivalent of standing on the touch line and shouting ‘boo’.

Im not obsessed at all. I was attacked by @bantamlad92 for supposedly posting biased material about the Israeli leader. All I’m asking is for him to put his money where his mouth is and provide evidence that anything I posted is untrue.

TBH, I’m not posting these articles for the likes of you, Bantamlad or Idle Bantam. Your views are all so right wing biased, rigid and impervious to logical argument that it would be a waste of time doing so. I’m posting them so that other, more fair minded, forum members can get balanced in-depth information that they won’t get from watching the news. Quite frankly, I don’t give a shiny shit what you think. You never read the articles anyway so you’ve no basis to judge them.

Slightly linked to this, I was talking to the Algerian lad again where I'm working. He showed some footage of his local side back home from the last week or so, a huge tifo banner celebrating the leader of Hamas ( apparently he only shows his eyes and this is portrayed on the tifo).

Another brilliant article from Jonathan Freedland describing the no win situation that Israel finds itself in.

 

Reading that just cements my thoughts that you can't defeat an ideology with bombs or weapons. As i've alluded to before, when they were massing their troops on the border i couldn't understand what their end game was? I guess it was designed as a show of strength to any other would be attacking threats in what is the most conflicted area of land in the world but now they've effectively flattened it what do they do next? Any move will only inflate the protests around the western world.

 

I can't see the IDF not seeing this one through no matter how outraged other countries are, they don't have to live next to the "State of Palestine" who are happy to have a group like Hamas as the governing body in the Gaza Strip.
Would the Isrealis allow the Palestinians back under the Israeli rule a little like Germany after the second world war, the East being under Russian control and the West under French, UK and USA control.

 

The sort of rhetoric being pushed in top US universities. Very worrying.

Only just watched that but it's absolutely horrific. How can these people, with those beliefs be the face of a university that no doubt has a number of Jewish students?

She should have mixed the question up to the Harvard President and asked "Is calling for the genocide of black people against their code of conduct?"

It would have been interested to hear the faux outrage than then ensued.

 

Because her whole career is a sham. A mockery based on giving her a top level prestigious role based not on her ability but on the colour of her skin. When the evidence is presented she's completely out of her depth but a prime example of how academic research institutions are now riddled with this sort of shite. For a professor she only brought i ridiculously small amount of journals of her own making and all were about race. And in keeping with this narrative she has to stick to the 'palestine/good, jews/bad' rhetoric that is sweeping the western world. Places like Harvard have gone from being internationally renown places of learning to laughing stocks pushing narratives and agendas.

 

Think I heard on the radio yesterday that the president of "Penn" has now been ousted on account of sponsors threatening to withdraw $100m of funding
