People seem to be forgetting this, whether conveniently or because of the emotion of the current situation, and it has a huge impact on what goes on not just next season but a season or two after.
Football in the lower leagues, although very emotive for us fans, is actually small in business terms. It only needs one wrong decision here and there and it can prove costly. Edin Rahic made enough wrong decisions to last us a couple of decades and the impact at the moment is immeasurable.

Exactly so it’s unfair to judge a incoming manager with the squad he’s going inherit no matter who it is . (Similar to Hopkin in that respect but I think he shot himself in the foot with his tactics and formations ) The playing squad is poor and no manager is going to make them improve and make us a decent team . Our next appointment is crucial and it’s going to require the fans to be patient and give him time until we can start over again once these edin signings have long left the club . I don’t see us finding the man we need to keep us up offcomedun. My point was more about next season the dross where going to be stuck with . Out of your list of 8 (out of a squad of 25/30 ? ) only 2 will be at the club next season . That’s deeply worrying . Major patience with the new man is needed . I personally don’t want a quick fix with someone coming in till May . I’d rather someone come in now who is going to be here for the long term and can start turning this club round . Evans is a big no no for me . We don’t need anymore chaos at this club .

Disagree there are some proven lower league managers out of work. I know there are big financial problems but I don’t understand why they are looking at a temporary appointment

 

Maybe wishfull thinking, but Bolton are looking like being taken over, many times when that happends the new owners want their man in,
Although I think Parky has done a sterling job under difficult circumstances it may not be enough for new owners.
I wonder if that had crossed Julians mind hence Drury part time/ caretaker manager.

 

I don't get this love in with Evans. I couldn't care less for demeanour, i care for his football management and the football he played against us this season with a talented squad was absolute garbage. The Peterborough fans couldn't wait to get rid of him.

 

If Bowyer wants it I think it will be him. He took over Blackpool whilst they were in turmoil with unpopular owners and secured an immediate return to League One. The profile fits.

I said this the other day. Where is all the money going to come from to pay off all the contracts and then to start again with a new squad budget?
This acquisition has to be someone who has experience of the lower leagues and who can put an arm around a player to get the best out of him. Remember SM with Mark Marshall?
I have yet to really see Riley in action but DH didn't like him for whatever reason. Maybe a new manager can get this young lad back on track and pushing for a start?

 

Anyone heard that Hopkin fell out with Rupp/Rhodes after the weekend and decided to walk?

From what I heard they had some form of a meeting, don’t know if it’s a standard one or what and something was said which he didn’t like.

Hopkin demanded an apology and didn’t get one so walked? Could all be ballaxe but....

Edit: his staff were apologised to but not Hopkin. Maybe around the we’ve worked so hard but the players aren’t giving it back line after the game?
