Can’t blame him for walking with this shambles of a squad and most fans blame him for most of it, let’s see what savour we get now lol.

 

No it isn't. Hopkin is a disciplinarian and it hasn't worked for him. What we need is someone who can work with the existing resources and somehow motivate this mismatched squad of misfits to work together as a team. Just going in shouting and throwing weight around won't do that.
Most of these players are either loanees who know they won't be here next season, or are sitting on long contracts and a decent wage which they'll keep getting regardless of whether the manager succeeds or fails. They are unlikely to respond positively to being bullied. We need a skilled man manager who can galvanise a dispirited squad, organise them and help each of them to play to their full potential. I don't see Evans being that man.

 

Don't forget the hoofball at Chelsea either, that was crap as well!!

 

Supported City for 20 odd years and in Evans came in I’d be ashamed, pissed off and if I said any different I’d be a massive hypocrite(as would many on this board) if we can get Parky back-great I don’t care about fancy I want effectiveness and results.
If not I still go with hurst or bowyer-worked with nowt and made something of it.
The nostalgic in me would love to see some of the boys back in charge and making a fair whack or it though.

Anyone could be Celtic manager and be successful.The disparity in the Scottish prem is uncompetitive and it shows when the domineering Celtic team play in Europe and that same disparity works against them.

 

The famous “anyone could win the league with them” line. Always comes out with big clubs. Rubbish

 

To be fair with Celtic and the serious lack of competition over the last 3 years it's not far off from being justified

 

It’s garbage no matter what club it is.

The expectation every week, the opposition raising their game every week. Everyone wants you to lose.

It’s harder than people think and you’ve then got all the players to keep happy as we see at Chelsea not always an easy task

Granted you’ve got the best players but there is so much more to it.

Moyes went into the champions at Man U and was crap. Not every manager can manage big clubs

 

Manchester Utd have some serious competition in the prem. Celtic can't help winning, there isn't any real
competition.It becomes blatantly obvious when Celtic play top teams from abroad that suddenly they find
themselves up against some real competition and they get found out.

If Rodgers leaves to go to Leicester he will be managing a team that will find it difficult to be successful again.

Scottish football is very poor standard,I watch enough of it on BT. Keeping the Celtic players happy? They are getting
wages well above anyone else in Scotland and no doubt win bonuses every week so if they aren't "happy" there will
be no pleasing them.

 

Not a great comparison for me, that Man United squad was woeful and the only reason they won the league the season before was because he was a genius.

 

You can’t compare Moyes at Man utd and Rodgers at Celtic. Completely different scenarios. Celtic job was ine of the easiest managerial jobs going while Rangers were in complete disarray. If you didn’t win pretty much every game with Celtic at this time you should be deemed a failure.

 

I'm not comparing Moyes.I'm comparing clubs. Yes,as I said completely different scenarios.Man Utd under Ferguson were dominant but not
to the degree Celtic have been.The competition in prem league is different as chalk and cheese to Scottish prem.
