Every game they didn't win was down to the ref giving them nothing and the fans didn't like his long ball tactics. Allegedly, his training sessions include falling practise.

The trouble is with every good example we can give to a manager ie Holloway at Palace you could offer Holloway at Millwall as an alternative, I'm sure that argument can be used for the majority of managers.

 

If Bolton won as many as Park makes out I think parkinson would be at real Madrid psg or barcalona by now.

 

I suppose it's the way fans interpret the Phil Parkinson days, he nearly always had a wide man sometimes two, he improved our league position every season, took us to Wembley twice, but his style was shit, your a hard man to please @bantam2708 .

It was never aimless with parky though. His teams were organised and a unit and safety first. But when he had the right players we played some good stuff at times. Evans and Cullen in midfield and Burke at the back.

And obviously the cup runs and play off wins. You can’t do all that with just aimless hoof football

 

Completely agree mate..........................but boy would I take that if it keeps us up.

 

I have no doubt our season can be saved if the 'right' man is appointed. The longer Drury holds the position, the more likely we are doomed.

 

The emptiest criticism of all time is the 'style is rubbish'.

Its a competitive game, not a wanky day at the theatre, my sole demand is non-dire results.

 

This was always the criticism of PP. Boring style of play. Nevermind results, league positions or cup runs, if some people aren't thoroughly entertained for an hour and a half on a sat, the manager must be shite. He kept a very poor Bolton side in the championship which was an achievement. I'd be on the phone to him straight away.

Point is moot anyway.

None of these players care a flying f*ck about this team. No heart or soul in the club, too many loan players and kids!

A sixth has put his name forward they are Happy Sleepy ,Dozy, Sneezy, Grumpy and Dopey.

 

Bowyer is a decent shout imo. However, It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking someone might keep us up though. Fact is, these players have shown nothing (bar that anomaly in dec) to show they are good enough to stay up. It will take a miracle, we might only be 3 pts behind, but our squads’ inability to bridge this ’massive gap’ all season speaks volumes. For a team with a bit of belief and something about them, they could get out of this, the chance is amazingly still there. Just not sure it’s within this lots’ grasp though, they look a beaten squad. Hopefully they will grow some back-bone and prove me wrong.

As for Steve Evans, no thanks.

 

And it’s a miracle they are where they are considering what he has had to put up with. Three promotions on his CV plus cup finals etc.relax he isn’t coming which is our big loss

 

Stylistically, this lot require a manager more like Stuart than Hopkin.

They can play football if they can earn the space that comes from earning the respect of the opposition.

Lets face it, no other style is available to us until we make sweeping changes in the Summer.
