Not Evans. As much as I think he gets a tune out of players the last thing this club needs at the moment is another divisive figure.

 

I'm devastated by today's news, not by the fact that Hopkin has gone but just the fact that it's bad news after bad news, everyday it's more fecking bad news. what a mess this club is in.

 

Might be just the kick up the arse that useless lot require to get a few wins together.
I really don't know who is or was worse, the players or the manager.
Talk about a club in turmoil.

 

Gary Jones till the summer, then re-assess. That'd be my vote.

None of these players are shite.

Doyle has looked poor but has scored consistently at L1 level for other clubs, who haven't played him as a target man and continually hoofed long balls over his head.. NKP was part of one of the best defences in the division only two years ago. When he had a coherent system to play in and players around him who offered themselves to receive short passes he didn't spend half his time launching aimless balls forward.

The squad has plenty of good players but it is badly unbalanced, as we all know. Hopkin inherited a squad that was completely unsuited to the type of football he likes to play and never got a tune out of them. I'm increasingly convinced that the December blip happened in spite of his tactics rather than because of them.

The chances of another manager coming in, hitting the ground running and fashioning a functioning team out of this squad are pretty low. But, IMHO, they are better than waiting for Hopkin to think of a Plan B, which wasn't going to happen.
We have some decent players here who've been restrained from playing to their potential by unsuitable tactics. Our only chance of avoiding the drop is to bring in a manager who can get alongside the players, quickly work out their relative strengths and formulate a plan that works to them, not against them. Another disciplinarian won't cut it.

 

I didn't take him for a quitter. Its just ridiculous though. The absolute last thing we need with a quarter of the season to go and relegation looming is the manager to walk.

 

Yep. We've gone from a play off final with McCall to virtually bottom of league 1 and what will be some 5 managers in just over 1 year. . . . and it's all Hopkins fault!
Deary me, some folk have very short memories.

 

Nope, not Evans. Will divide fans like no other. It could be a terrible appointment.

 

Bang on the money. Its gonna take a few years to repair this damage. Hopkin leaving must leave even the last remaining thoroughly nice chaps under no illusion this club is broken from top to bottom. To do it in such a short space of time actually takes some doing, its quite depressing that all that hard work since Parkinson took over has been all for nothing apart from memories.
Those that are just happy to have a club to support may be lucky to have that when this mess finally reaches rock bottom.

Worrying times to be a Bradford fan.

 

You'll not find me knocking Phil Parkinson or his style, as a league two team we did what we did to get out of that God awful league, then in league one we had even more success.
Now I would have loved us to be playing what some call "proper football" but the situation our club was in we were never going to be a Bristol City, yet some were not happy with the success Parky brought to our club they say, if he could reverse our form and keep us in league one I personally wouldn't care what style he played, but then I'm easily pleased as long as Bradford City are getting three points.

 

Players should be the ones getting sacked, feel for Hopkin, fans turned on him straight away whilst players cocked up week in week out.

 

Me too, I haven’t bought my ST yet, and I won’t be if that apology for a human being steps into this club. There are plenty of managers out there.

 

We must get rid of Drury as soon as possible, He is not up to the job but more importantly he is the last of the Rahic appointments and we need to eradicate the last link with anything to do with him, When that is done this club can start to rebuild.

My thoughts on the situation/recent events.

 

Why Harry Kewell what has he done as a manager

 

I have to assume its based on him seeing the trajectory of the club and he's getting out while he can. He's not getting a tune out of us, and he'll know that our hands will still be tied with some of our hefty contracts in the summer - but his budget would be even smaller in League 2.

I fear for our existence over the next couple of years.

 

I would think Stefan is as shocked as us fans, but I agree totaly he is supposed to be coming over in the near future, some sort of statement from Stefan would hopefully allay many fans concerns.
I bet he wish's he'd never heard of Edin Rahic.

 

It was never aimless with parky though. His teams were organised and a unit and safety first. But when he had the right players we played some good stuff at times. Evans and Cullen in midfield and Burke at the back.

And obviously the cup runs and play off wins. You can’t do all that with just aimless hoof football
