That game was absolutely cack, there was no "football", we hoofed them into submission and then waited for them to make mistakes, they did. Not for me.

I watched Pompey beat Wigan 2-1 a little earlier and it was one of the best games I'd seen this season. I enjoyed that TV game more than all Grayson's put together.

No it wasn’t it was all action and for once it was played on the front foot. We have died of boredom watching over the last year or so watching the ball being played around the back until they are caught in possession. It’s like watching paint dry. I am not saying we have seen much better from Grayson ibut the Portsmouth game was good in my opinion. Let’s play our football in the opponents half.

The only thing I would say about Grayson, is his constant banging on about getting the ball down the wings and then crossing balls into the box.... what’s the point of that if, like Saturday he takes a forward off (or in Poleon’s case, a body), and plays Wyke up top on his own. Baffling tactics that didn’t inspire me with any confidence, particularly as we were losing at the time.

One thing this season has taught me is, had we just had a decent squad, with players who could play in their natural positions then we’d have had a good chance to go up. There hasn’t been one stand out team (compared to previous seasons) and had the squad not been lopsided or unbalanced we’d be at least in the playoffs. The recruitment in the summer cost us and compared to the Parky era, loanees couldn’t be brought in to rectify the situation. I doubt Grayson would’ve allowed us to be in that situation had he been here, or will we start like that if he stays here next season.

I think his point was proven after the second Southend goal. Law didn't cross and 20 seconds later the ball is in our net.

From August to November 2016 I loved watching McCall's team, it was chalk and cheese with the 2015/16 where we often scraped drab 1-0 wins and was something fresh and new. But when the pitches turned the football became stop start and predictable, and I can only remember a couple of half decent performances this season under McCall, seems to become a myth that we played like Barcalona or Man City. Graysons football has been dull but McCalls had become the same, at the end of the day the quality of player often dictates whether the team are entertaining.

We've suffered league 1 and 2 for 14 years now, and most teams are cloggers lets be real, I'd rather us hoof our way to the championship and get to go watch my team at the likes of Elland Road, Villa Park and Hillsborough. Than be like Swindon and play neat and tidy football playing at the likes of Forest Green and Newport.

Whether you like Grayson or not, given the budget he's already proven time and time again that he is capable of promotion from this dull league, so I'd happily see him stay. The alternative been we get a coach in who will play tika taka, like Luke Williams did at Swindon last year, i just hope we don't suffer the same outcome.

Disgusted at Grayson's failure to acknowledge fully the contribution made by Jordan Gibson in last night's game. The lad added a bit of fizz and excitement that has been missing for too long. Also Grayson's gutless and evasive reference to Poleon's absence as 'illness'. Grayson spoke with little conviction looking forward to next season and I would have Jordan Gibson at the club over Grayson any day. Sounded just like the Leeds fan that he is. Goodbye Mr Grayson. A pleasure it was not. You failed to turn Sunderland around and you have abjectly failed to turn Bradford around.

The post match interview I heard, Grayson did indeed praise Gibson's contribution, and acknowledged that he looked bright and positive and made an impact. The reporter asked Grayson why he had not figured in the match day squad sooner, and Grayson was very open and honest, and said that the lad had not done enough in training whilst Grayson has been at the club, and he hopes the penny has dropped with Gibson, and realises that he has apply himself more in training and look at Warnock's attitude, for example, who trains likes he plays.

The sprit has mostly gone from the Club and whatever his skills,SG has failed to inspire the players either through game plan or in lifting their performances.

Jordan Gibson is an unreal talent, he should have had more games this season. Hopefully he gets more next season. Great young player, Grayson still can’t be judged yet, if he stays then judge him this time next season, if he stays

Maybe Hans Wolffe the ex Stuttgart coach will come in now and get us promoted with a team of 10 Kai Bruenkers and Rouven Sattlemeir in goal

Didnt hear any post match interviews and I accept times have changed but could anyone think back in the day Matt Busby would have left Besty out if he was not one of the better trainers, or the likes of Stan Bowles, Tony Currie, being dismissed because they were not the best trainers.
The short time Gibson was on he gave their full back a hard time and I thought he was one of Walsalls better players, on his way to Leeds in June, just shows how the games moved on.

Yes but Jordan Gibson is no Georgie Best Bronco!!! He is just a kid who may have an attitude that he has already made it in the game. Maybe why Rangers released him?

As mentioned above Grayson gave an honest opinion about Gibson and the rest of the youngsters. Would you rather he came out and said he was great and had made it? I like Graysons refreshingly honest assessment of what he has at the club. He’s not here to make friends like McCall. Even Wayne Jacobs praised his appraisal and backed it up by saying that youngsters had to put it in everyday, not just on match days.

There can be no coincidence that Gibson, despite his obvious talent found himself on trial with us after Rangers released him, and that Stuart only gave him a handful of starts in non events, even when we were down to the bare bones.

Come on are you seriously comparing the two, you know (I hope) I was suggesting players with natural talent would not be left out of a team because they did not train as hard as others, when you get to this time of the season if were thiking players could be fitter we have major problems.

Actually, I think if George Best had not applied himself in training when he came over as a youngster, senior players like Bill Foulkes would have soon sorted him out.
Obviously I wasnt comparing Gibson with Best, but my point is, should a kid who may show a bit of ability, be given a first team shirt, if he cannot be bothered in training. The professional game has been littered with scores of youngsters like Gibson, who obviously had the talent, but not the application and desire to go on and make a good career in the game, I used Warnock earlier as the perfect example of seemingly being the model professional

All I can say is thank goodness George Mulhall was a open minded manager or we would never have witnessed one of the best center forwards ever to play for Bradford City, he was at the last chance saloon at Bradford City because of his passed George saw a talent and gave Bobby his chance, and we know the rest.

I bet he's the first name on Georges starting 11 up there ;).

Not disagreeing with any of that but as good a career that Warnock has had he was hardly in the catorgury if the creative players we've mentioned.
If you haven't watched either "Damned United" or "United" watch them and you see back in those days the players many of the great players at Leeds and Man United couldn't wait for half time for a fag.
Different times I agree but sometimes managers need to see further than a player running his arse of to convince the manager he's good enough for selection for the first team.

I got the feeling, albeit watching it on ifollow, that Grayson seemed very uncomfortable and ill at ease about joining the players during the lap at the end of the game. I get the feeling that he wont stay - Scunthorpe and back to the Championship where he "belongs" may well beckon.
