Have you seen the interview with their Chairman saying he has spoken to the management and they will be putting an attacking team out next match. Can not see PP liking being told what tactics to play

 

No I haven't see it, I assume their chairman is saying that about the last Championship game this season vs Nottingham Forest, a very difficult game but usually the more difficult the occasion the best it brings out of a Phil Parkinson team,
For me what he did for our club he has my best wishes in whatever capacity he works be that as Bolton manager or as someone thinks the next Sunderland manager, I have no axe to grind with regards Phil Parkinson.

I also think I saw David Baldwin yesterday but can’t be 100% sure as I thought I saw him drive past in a car. 50% sure. But I did see him against Gillingham 10000% as I said hello

Sun linking Grayson with Scunny

 

If he does go to Scunthorpe and to be fair their chairman doesn't seem to be frightened of backing the Scunthorpe manager could anyone blame him.

 

He was correct an overhaul is needed. The only out of contract player I would offer a deal too is Dieng. He seems to get on with it and gives us a bit of presence in midfield. Rest can go. Doyle, McMahon and Law (I don't mind him but time to move on). NKP and Vince need to be made available for offers in hope we can get them off the wage bill - both are terrible. McCartan needs selling or at least loaning out. Poleon and Patrick need to go one way or another.

I am more than happy to give Reeves and Jones another chance once they return to full fitness.

 

If Grayson does go we will not be short of offers for the managers role but it will give an indication as to how ambitious we are. Grayson has said he would like to stay if certain criteria are met. Lets see what they come up with.

 

You do realise we gave Patrick an extension because he scored a very good goal against Blackpool and he is one of Edin's development players, brave decision for Grayson if he's still here .

 

I am still hopeful that Grayson will stay. The last thing we need is to be scraping around for another new manager to set us back again. Edin & Stefan did a great job in attracting the best man for the job to the club in the first place, but it would be another humiliation for them if he ended up at Scunthorpe this summer.

Colin Doyle was right in his recent interview, it needs sorting as soon as possible otherwise we're in for another summer of playing catch up.

 

I agree as long as his demands are reasonable. There is a limit. Compromise is required

 

Of course - we know more than most that the boom/bust method often comes back to bite you. But Edin & Stefan also need appreciate that there is a recovery job on this summer. The squad isn't good enough and, in my opinion at least, League One is looking like a stronger league next season. Grayson staying would be the first sign that we are serious about competing next season.

 

Totaly agree....surely if Grayson agrees to stay he's at least made significant headway in his demands.

 

Boring you say? You mean like your constant criticism of our managers. You complained about Parkinson enough times, now you are having a pop at a bloke with a proven track record and someone that hasn’t even been able to bring in his own players.

Just for the record, how did Man City do last season under Guardiola? I’d suggest (by their standards) they had a poor season and that was with Pep’s own players. Fast forward 12mths and with another season rebuilding, look at them now.

If you’d been a Man City fan, you’d have wanted him sacked last season...!

 

Heard Grayson tonight on Radio Leeds and he advised “nothing has changed”. He only “wanted a deal until the end of the season and that is still the case”. He added that he has held preliminary talks with the owners but just wants to get the final couple of games out of the way before he will discuss his position.

Didn’t sound like he was going to stay

 

Man City player good football last season. You could see with the style of play that they were going to be a force this season. So no I wouldn't have wanted him sacked.

Under Grayson I see no style and no decent results.

Parky's did well getting us up but his style of play was becoming boring and it's no shock he is struggling at Bolton now but I would rather him then Grayson.

Look, I we're a club without a plan and no identity. If we went from Parky to Grayson then I might get us but we went from Parky to McCall to Grayson. It's no wonder the players are confused.

 

Certainly will test the resolve of our owners.
