Flyover Cancellation

For those whom contributed, could I ask should we ring fence this money until we have firm proof of change?

If needed , we could reorganize a flyover or relevant protest, as appropriate. If the end game is satisfactory, then charity I suggest.

Otherwise, im of the consideration that if monies are returned and a crowd funding is required in future, that the integrity and trust in such an action may be jeopardised.

 

I have nothing but admiration for the way you organised this event, and fully understand the pressure you have been put under to cancel the flyover. However, I find the whole episode disturbing to say the least. I don’t know about anybody else, but I honestly don’t understand why a protest flyover would affect the finances of the club. None of us want to damage the club’s finances, but I must be being a bit blonde here, but they are willing to cough up nearly a grand to stop the flyover surely that will affect the club’s finance??

It would damage the image the club is trying to sell to a new investor?

 

Are you saying this person didn't tell you what they are claiming they did?

I did indeed like a post earlier, linking it to that of @City-since-67 . The words are his in this latter passage.

I still would not wish harm on the club. For that I am consistent.

 

I think it was very unfair to put this question to you this morning. This fly by has been in the offing for weeks and they could have approached you at any time.

If I was being cynical, I might think it was deliberately left until you had no chance to consult the rest of us in order to isolate you.

I really feel for you and I understand and respect what you have done. You have been placed in a very difficult position and as I say this could well have been deliberate.

What I can be sure of is that if events don't move positively in terms of the Rahic situation for me, I will personally pay for the fly by on my own if necessary.

You've confirmed the person you've quoted above was the one who gave you the information that made you make the decision to cancel and have quoted what they have posted on here about a possible new investor. I'm asking you if that was part of the information that made you make your decision to cancel.
